I've been shopping at Walmart!
I feel like I've been cheating on my dear Publix. But I ran out of meat and there's no sale in sight, so I went there to see what prices they have. I bought some chicken, and found several other things cheaper (only because there's no sale on them at Publix) Smithfeild bacon was 2.58. Its 4.99 at Publix, so we've just been going without. Even the orange juice I buy every week was .80 cheaper. Milk is 2.68, while its gone up to 3.09 at Publix. At 3 gallons a week, I may as well buy it there from now on. I've been a WM hater for a long time, but I couldn't resist going back. They remodeled our store, and alot more people are working the floor. I feel like next time I go into Publix they'll know! LOL and give me glaring eyes thinking, 'traitor!'

LOL that was too funny!
Wal-Mart does have better every day prices. But they are so anti-coupon (at least mine is, they won't take IP's) that I rarely buy groceries there.

That is too funny!
My SIL and I were just talking yesterday about feeling similar each time we go into Target. We feel they have us 'profiled'...."oh, great! They're back!!" But, we are both dressed professionally and we act professional and if anyone ever approaches us I told her we should tell them we are Professional Shoppers! In a way we are; but only for our families! lol

Yep, they know me at Publix and Walgreens too. Manager at our Wags is a good guy. Cashier was having a problem with my Qs yesterday, so she called him over to the cosmetic counter, and he saw that it was me and said (jokingly) "Ahhh... I might have known it was you!" The crew at this one Wags is always a joy to deal with... management, cashiers, pharmacy... all the way around the board. That's why we NEVER go to the old Wags anymore. They never had a clue about customer service.

I went back again today, bought a few more items to stock up. Some things I've been going without or paying dearly for since they aren't on sale lately anywhere. I even started a WM price book so when I'm at Publix I can start to shop smarter. I wanted to use my WIC produce voucher there but didn't want to push my luck.
I used four $1/1 Qs today there with no problem. As for IPs, I can't print so that doesn't affect me. Even if I could, Publix is the only place around here that accepts Ips. I also stopped by CVS (I haven't been there in a year or so) and grabbed 6 cans of swanson broth with 2 .40/3 Qs to get these for .36 each. They are $1.09 at Publix. I wish Publix price-matched. That would be awesome.

![]() Yeah it would be nice, but I'd rather keep their taking IP's and doubling Q's any day!

My WalMart takes IPs
I still feel like a traitor going there because I work at a competing store. Most things at WalMart are so much cheaper though so it's hard not to go there....however not everything is cheaper I have found.
