Lightbulb You Are On Your Own Kits

So I am going through this house that I no longer recognize and I am quite sure my DH rented it out to some frat boys while I was asleep in the bed! I am getting over the flu and now I have the huge job of getting the house back in order.. I am thinking there must be a better way! I am thinking of making a “wife is sick and you are on your own kit” and put it in the closet for times like this… What do you think? I have plenty of medicine (I make most of our medicine so I keep the ingredients on hand…) I was thinking about keeping some cans of soup in there for a pinch and keeping some homemade in the freezer and maybe some paper plates and stuff cause EVERY dish in the house is dirty right now!
So what would you put in the box? Any ideas?

There would only be one thing in my box, a note...

For your own good...I had better not have to (insert)<clean house/pick up dirty laundry/wash dishes, etc, etc.> when I get over this <flu, surgery, cold, one of those days>. If the house is not in the same shape, or better, as before, heads will ROLL!!!

I think (and hope) by now my kids & DH know better.

I live with three men, my hubby and 2 teenage boys. There is no box I could make for them. They just dont get it. I have finally convinced them to use paper plates/bowls tho so that is something......it stinks to be sick and then have to get up and clean, but........

Ejet...I'm with Marge on this one..... and don't you dare touch those dishes! Set your foot down and stand over them with a whip if necessary and make them clean up THEIR mess.

If you clean it they will think it's ok to do that again next time.

Maybe you can add mac&cheese, nissin noodles, and lots of numbers of restaurants who deliver. This actually sounds like a great idea.

Sylvia- I wish! Sadly the dishes would still be there on my 25 wedding anniversary! We used to share the house work when we both worked, but after I lost my job and started working only part-time in the home (childcare) that has ended.. He works vey hard and has long hours so I understand...
I really like the delivery idea!!! I could even put in some GC to the restaurants to cut on cost when he is eating every meal out.. That would help a lot!

Me get sick or not be able to do my "duties"??? What are you talking about..Mom isn't allowed to be ailing since who would do that stuff. Luckily I am rarely sick but when I am I don't get any help either but I'm right there with meds & tissues when they are ill, lol.
