Default any recamendations on getting rid of major zits

first off i do not wear any makeup at all

i try to wash my face every night (but dont always get to it)

i was using just water to wash with however they had a great deal on ponds toweletts so i got some and started washing with those every night - but my face is no better by far
and this was about a month ago

i know that u should not pop zits but its hard to go out to the store or even outside with a white head or black head on the middle of ur face

i do not like things that goop on ur face
or stuff that has to stay on for awhile
i would like something cheap, easy to use, dosent take alot of time or effort to use
i really like the whole towellette idea
i dont use masks

i need help this is starting to really bother me

I found Arbonne to be a great product for keeping my face blemish free, the cleanser combined with the toner worked great. It is a bit pricey though, but you don't need to use a lot at each cleansing so it lasts a long time. I will as a disclaimer say that I haven't ever really had lots of bad blemishes (since high school anyway) I used this product in college.

Another product that I haven't used, but have heard rave reviews about from people who had pretty bad acne was ProActive. I haven't personally used it but a friend who had some pretty severe acne did and swore by it.

Good Luck finding something to help!

See a doctor if you can. They have oral medications that pretty much clear up acne.

If that is not a way that you can go then applying an over the counter topical creme containing benzoil peroxide on a regular basis really works well. (proactive is mostly just benzoyle peroxide but there are cheaper brands...though my son used Proactive and it was amazing. After 2 days a very red and sore pimple he had just dried up and disapeared.)

I didn't have to do either of those for my own problem.

What worked for me.....

#1 Stop touching your face with your hands, don't lean your chin, cheek or forhead on your hand or arm, don't sleep with your face resting on your hand or arm. It does make a difference.

#2 Avoid caffiene, chocolate and cola as much as possible.

Doing both of those eliminated my acne problem.

I think that Ponds has oil in it which you should not use if you have acne. Nutrageina sp? has a great hypoalergenic soap it is the one with the orange band on the box, I use to use a acne liquid as a teenager I think that it was called Sea brease or something like that, I think that it also came in wipes, I just looked on Wags website and did not find it. Alot of people have good luck with benzol peroxide treatments and I have seen some of these as wipes. I personally have very bad acne and have tried almost everything including prescriptions and the only time that I did not have bad acne was when I was pregnant. Some of the treatments did help but nothing got rid of mine; it has to due with a hormone inbalance that I have.

I started breaking out in my 30's, found out it was Rosaea. After using what the Dr gave me I stopped having them.

DD had terrible problem and the doc gave her a topical antibiotic to clear up the face and a wash, too. It's worked beautifully. Don't delay; you may have a bacterial infection going on and no OTC stuff will fix that.

Default Cuticura

There is a great brand of antibacterial acne soap called Cuticura. It is kind of hard to find, some Walgreens do sell it, and you can buy it on-line. I have used it since I was 12 years old. It is a blue bar of soap, costs about $3.99. I usually order about 10 at once and that lasts me a few years. It really works great. Look it up on-line and read the reviews, all very positive.

You know, you might be on to something here....I used that when I was a teenager and never had acne problems but ever since I was 25....I do because I stopped using it.....

I think I am going to have to find a bar or two myself and get back into using it again.

Only 2 of about 15 Wags around me sell it. They also happen to be out of stock... Go figure.

Looking at the main Cuticura website, it looks like the original formula is out of stock until November 15.
