Happy Friday morning!

That's great news, Kimmie and Saver!

I'm having some vertigo this morning. Finally starting to subside some. My heart and BP are fine and I don't have diabetes, so I'm thinking it's from fluid in an ear or post-migraine from the headache I had Wednesday.

Sorry for those hit by all the rain/snow. It finally cleared out here after 2 days of rain, and I'll be happy if it waits a week to come back.

Four of my exes are still my best friends: one has been my best friend for 19 years. I agree that it can't, or shouldn't, always be that way: some of them I haven't seen/spoken to in ages and might not again. I am glad to say though that only a few ended badly.

Claudia: me, personally, I've never looked at the ending of a relationship as a failure. I did the best I could at the time in each one, and when they didn't work I was sad, occasionally devastated, but that's all. Like Edison said about inventing the lightbulb: 'I have not had 1,000 failures. I have eliminated 1,000 possibilities.'

Hi to Cajun, Julie Quack, M, Queen, Saver, C, LITSA, Kimmie and anyone I've left out today.

hello all, I admire anyone who can retain any semblance of a relationship with an X. I can't think of one that ended on a good note. I'm sure all that drinking and partying I used to do led me to make poor choices in men and to me they were ALL BUMS. Not one was worth the time/energy I wasted on them. My deal with myself was once my son was old enough to go to bars I would quit drinking. The LAST person I wanted to see in any bar was my SON. So 5 years ago I just stopped drinking. No 12 step, no nothing. I realized I was self medicating so I went to the dr. and now I take lots o pills instead of drinking. Im not sure I see the big difference except now I dont wake up with a hangover or married to someone I hate. LOL. The reckless behavior has subsided as well but that might have happened anyway as I got older. ANYHOO, I have had exes walk up to me and say Claudia? and I say "NO, you got the wrong person"....ROFLMAO...and they say "Don't you remember me?" and I say "Should I?" Its all quite entertaining at the time...but then I have a twisted sense of humor. Have a good day peeps. CB

More craziness going on here. My daughter may qualify for a program, but I am not sure if I'm ready for her to be gone all day 5 days a week. Not sure if it's the right thing or not, even though hubby is pushing me to do so. I want to be sure on this decision and have even been told we could put it off until fall school schedule.

Also my mom just let me know that her oldest male dog (yellow lab) died tonight and she's very torn up. Things keep happening it appears. Honestly it will probably be better for her in the long run, but this dog and the older female were the ones my parents bred together when my daddy was still alive. (This is now two of the five animals gone since his death.)

She also let me know that my brother's girlfriend will be induced Sunday night because she's choosing to be. The due date is still 1-2 weeks away, but it appears I will be a new aunt again sometime early in the week.

I also appreciate those of you who take the time to be supportive and understanding and realize I am doing my job and trying to make this the best place possible for all of us. Life is honestly too hard to deal with more unpleasant things that are just petty and not really worth the energy or the emotion they provoke.

Blessings and Hugs, "Angel"

For various reasons, it seems that many of us are going through some heartache right now. I read this in my Guideposts the other day, I have no idea of the original author, but Marilyn Morgan King included it in her daily devotion and I'm going to repeat it here.

Some hard questions are shrouded in mystery
too deep for human minds to understand;
the hidden answers aren't meant to be unlocked
until the soul is ready to see life whole.
Every good thing has its shadow
and every dark night is the back side
of a new day waiting to dawn.

DH's brother left for Navy bootcamp yesterday, so today is his first day. DH leaves March 15th. Just realized he'll miss our anniversary. Its starting to sink in that I'll be alone with 2 little ones and no family within 3000 miles for a while.
Hoping Lucy's coupon box shows up.
Also wondering if Kouponkelley or Misaver have had their babies yet???
Not only do you share the special day with me you get to share birthdays with SWEET LIPS

So, you guys know you'll be getting an awesome son-in-law.

More good news for me and hubby. My DH just took the test to get his certification for an electrician yesterday afternoon. That sneak, nhe didn't even tell me he was going to try. He isn’t even done with school yet, but the teacher urged him to try and take the test since his grades were so good. He took it and passed with flying colors. He was so excited. This means he can start applying for jobs. There will be a job fair in a few weeks. Hopefully he will have some luck there.
WOOHOO Congrats...

Hi all. I know I wasnt on yesterday but had things to do yesterday morning and then afternoon to evening I had to work at a snowmobile/atv expo. Came home and went to bed. I dont even think I turned on the puter yesterday. Was up this am dropped father in law at the flea market and went back to work at the expo. Seems I am now secretary of the club I feel I should be there for this event as much as possible. So tomorrow it is 10-4 but be gone early. I know I haven't be elected til Feb. but it is my position and I talked to one of the board members and he was filling me in on how the voting works. He said as long as I do my job between now and Feb I won't have a problem plus no one he said will run against me cause no one has wanted it before. I found out not only classified as a board member but also and officer. Boy did my head SWELL... 3rd in command LOL. Hubby has worked this event with me and is having a blast. Last night was so funny it was the top 3 officers Pres. Vice and ME LOL,hubby and father in law. Walked around a lot with the President and father in law. Hubby was doing really good about talking about the Toys for Tots ride our club is holding in December. I was talking about the memberships. The V.P. Sat in the backround and fell asleep..LOL HECK I dont know who was worse the President or hubby. Boy they talked a lot told "nasty" jokes to each other. Boy we all fit in. I finally have a good hubby in my life. I know he can be a PITA but he has built up myself esteem and make me feel like I am worth something. Being involved in the club is just a complete lifter upper.

Hope everyone is doing good. Happy Halloween to those who celebrate it. WAVING HI TO ALL
