End of my day. Dad still here. He got some of his moving business taken care of. Will probably have to help him find some places, like Social Security office tomorrow. Everyone is playing nice, but I didn't expect any problems. Looks like I got him hooked on cable tv. (he's a little anti-technology) See you all in the morning!

CrazyCajun ~ of course we have room for one more... we have room for lots more. Pull up a chair and grab a cup of java... My first husband and I changed the motor in our 1974 Camaro way back when... I started pulling the Laguna engine (new/old motor) and he started pulling the blown motor out of the Camaro. I had a blast being a grease monkey. Of course, I like getting dirty when I work. I clean vacant apartments....

Finally got caught up with my q's... they're all out in the mail finally. Nothing really at CVS this week... Wags still has some things I want to pick up... DD really likes Zicam, so I want to pick some of that up, trash bags are a biggie... Want to get rainchecks for some of the other stuff.....

Glad to hear everyone is doing pretty well. Lots of you guys working on cars! Impressive!
I'm just delaying getting the kids up. Really struggling with things here right now. Got to talk with my Mom & best friend (it's a guy & I tell him he's my best "girlfriend") last night. That helped tremendously! Don't know what I'd do without them- even tho they live on the other side of the country now. Or is it me who lives on the other side of the country now since I'm the one the moved?

Good Morning COUPONMOM and Family I am doing well today. Sweet Lips is doing really well. Very "talkative" all weekend. When she got on the phone yesterday she was a babbling away it was so funny and when she found she couldnt suck on her thumb and talk to grammie she decided to just stop and listen LOL When the aide or nurse not sure which one she was got on the phone told me cause she was laughing so hard. She keeps them well entertained. I keep telling her to run all over the place in her walker and keep them on their toes and make them run after her LOL the nurse was like geeze thanks. But she is doing very well.

Went with dad this morning to do final inspection on his place. Movers called and that is set up for tomorrow. After Lil'D goes to school I will help him get his stuff in the right places. So he will be staying in his new place tomorrow night.

Showed him where the grocery store, pharmacy, etc. are located. I also found out he is the slowest driver on earth. Whenever you say, "get out of the way Grandpa." You must be behind him.

Hope everyone is doing well.
I'm making banana bread!! I haven't baked in years, and I've been craving banana bread for days, so I decided to make some. Made a double batch, turned some into muffins, a few small loaves, and 2 regular pans. Some with nuts, and some without (for DH). It is ssooo good, just what I wanted
Bonus, the house smells wonderful!
Had to close the house up, the wind is whipping around today, should have a clean yard after this
Not much else going on so far, so I'm gonna go have another slice of bread,

OK there have been a lot of things going on lately. Many not so pleasant while others working toward improving my child's life and who knows maybe even mine.

I took a step back from posting here without saying much because honestly people can be mean. It may not appear so, but I work very hard here trying to make this a pleasant and safe place. As a general rule, I am here every day, several times a day to handle things that come up. (Some people do not agree with the way things are done, but I do the best I can to be fair and kind to everyone regardless of who they are, how they think, or what they think. In addition I do not make attacks against others here and cannot understand why others feel that they should do so. Just because someone is at the other end of the internet does not mean they do not have feelings.)

As a general rule, most of our members are wonderful, kind and considerate to others. They are also willing to step up when they may have done something that could create an issue with someone else. I applaud that and appreciate the support and understanding instead of meanness which happens too.

We finally found some support to help us move forward with my child's progress. Mama gets to add so many more things to the weekly schedule like twice a week therapy, in addition to our music class and mama finally found a MOPS group for both of us to enjoy other people's company.

We also got exposed to a bug thanks to a mom bringing her child "with a small cold" to music class. Since no fever happened with us, we have waited it out and now the pediatrician decided it might be bacterial now and prescribed an antibiotic to be on the safe side.

In addition my mom was supposed to come for a visit, but did not come as she was concerned about missing the birth of my brother's new baby who isn't due until mid November. She still had the time off and went ahead to get some testing done which resulted in her having back surgery this past Friday. She says she's doing well. With all of the craziness in our schedules here, I opted to wait and see if I should go or not as we will be traveling there for Thanksgiving. (Long trip with my toddler by myself can be done, but it does take a lot out of you. Hmmm don't forget those lovely attitudes and the stubbornness that comes with this age.)

Those of you who keep offering cast iron skillets and rolling pins know that life here takes a lot to get through the day. HMMMM maybe I just need to become "perfect" so that everything will be fine and dandy.

Prayers for my mom's continued recovery, getting through this stage of mommy-hood and the next, making sure that everything that can be done is being done for my child, and just being able to move forward to accomplish whatever lies ahead would be appreciated.

I know I am probably leaving out tons of stuff that's going on, but I wanted to post something for those of you who are wondering what's happening.
