Sorry for your loss.

The big thing with this flu is that you get Tamaflu as soon as you get it. My DD who is 3 and myself have both had it and it will go into your lungs instantly.

Thats what happend with my nephew, it went to his lungs, and he couldnt recover from it. With all the schools closing in our area due to this flu, Im real worried about my kids. I am thankful for my stockpile of lysol as well. Im on the fence with the vaccine though...

We have had 2 schools close in my area that I am aware of. My son has asthma (premmie twin at birth, now 9) and started with a wicked cough about 2 weeks ago. Last week it escalated to what I thought was a full blown asthma attack. Took him to the doctor only to find out that he may have pertussis aka Whooping Cough. He has been out of school for a week - rule is he had to be on antibiotics for 5 days before returning to school. Also found out that what should have taken 48 hours to show a + or -, turned into a 5-7 day wait. We still do not know if he has pertussis, but is going back to school on Monday.

Our school has had a high number student absenses, but has yet to close. The numbers are dropping, but this is only October. What is going to happen as the winter progresses?

Scary thought....I keep hearing that this is only the beginning of the problem.
