I usually can't think of anything that I want, I have some pricey things that I probably won't get

But I want:

Car Radio
I-Pod
Bath & Body Works
Olay Pro X Since I can't make myself buy it
And if All Else Fails, as my daughter quoted
"cash...just lots of cash"

A JOB
Windows 7 Ultimate Edition
NVidia GeForce 9800 or 260 GTX graphics card
Star Trek 2 disc special edition DVD
Some new Wacoal bras (ok, that's girlie, lol)

Oh, well. I AM NERDYcoupongirl...
Ha ha ha! My kinda Gal... I recently tried to do a "quick" update from Vista to Windows 7... what a joke... had to do a complete clean instal of vista and lost all my school work. ARRRGGGHH!! I've been hearing some disappointment over W7 too. hmmm..

Regarding the gift card thing. I think the reason why they are considered the worst gift ever is that it shows that you didn't care enough to find the perfect gift... or that you weren't aware of their needs and wants. To me they are impersonal, but I do like to have them given once in a while. However if I've said... oh... that is really cool I'd love to have that... and you show up with it.... I know you've listened and filed that bit of information away for future use (you care). That means more to me than a $200 gift card.

This year, I dare not even wish for anything, unless DH gets a job there will be no Christmas here. Last year I so wanted a Digitech Vocalist 4 (a music thing) that runs about $500... well there was no way that was going to happen. So I got nothing... this year looks the same.

I agree! and I often have to be careful what I wish for. My husband stores WAY to much in his memory bank and when I do get it for x-mas, I am like WHAT is this? Did I really say I wanted this???

this year I am drilling in him that I want a camcorder. Our son is going to be 1.5 yo and I still DONT HAVE ONE to record all the special moments!

Try the subconcious approach. Wait until he falls asleep then whisper your wishes in his ear. Just don't be surprised if he has "wishes" of his own! lol

Funny to be reading this thread since I just started jotting down things today so when I was asked I would have an answer! Here is my list so far..extra battery for my digital camera, socks, winter coat, scarf, hat, belt, wisp refills, bow case, and a new bow sight. All things that I could've got myself during the year but just didn't get to it...with three kids and DH, I should get most of this, lol. DH would much rather buy sporting goods than bras any day

BUT...wouldn't you be letting us down if you didn't produce a list as such? I'm mean like c'mon, what kind of Nerd would be asking for Spiked high heel shoes and a pretty little party dress?

If I posted my list I'm afraid I'd crash the server so I better leave well enough alone

I couldn't think of anythimg at first (well, nothing realistic) but just realized I need a new winter coat. What I'd really like is someone to come in and help me clean out my closets and attic - hmm, maybe DH could be persuaded to do that as a gift!
