Default Funny thought...

Was reading everyone's wish list, and it was funny but I couldn't think of anything that I really wanted, but maybe just to relive my childhood Christmas memories and appreciate those around me more. It's hard to realize that people grow, even when you wish that they would stay sweet and little forever. Happy Memories

What I would like to have for Christmas this year can not be bought.

I want my son to be home with us!!!!!! Not sure if this will be possible or not, he will be graduating his MCT training around that time.

But if I had to chose a couple materials things it would be:

1. Plastic craft table
2. Kitchen Aid mixer
3. Perfume

I read recently in a magazine that one of the worst gifts EVER is....gift cards. And I thought, who doesn't love getting gift cards? I know I LOVE being able to pick something out for myself.

My list:
A new christmas DVD (I buy a new movie or CD every year)
Phillips, Craig and Dean, or Newsboys CD
Pink fuzzy WARM slippers

my family doesn't believe in giving GC as gifts. I just don't get it. Anyways, my family draws names, and my mom has me this year. I have no thoughts as what she is going to get me, maybe something for my WII, but that is about all I want. We have Christmas with my mom's side of the family in November. This year Christmas is November the seventh. My uncle has my name, I shot him a few ideas, but he has some really good ideas, and usually doesn't get what you requested, but something way better. One rule of Pretend Christmas (November Christmas) it can't happen before Halloween. If Halloween is on a Friday, Christmas can't be Saturday either. Trick or Treater's just look at you funny if you are playing Christmas Carol's while they are getting candy. This has happened more then once

I love GC's too, especially if it's to a store I LOVE!!!! My kids like getting them as well; they are at the ages now when it's a bit difficult and they love being able to pick out their own items and getting great sales after Christmas.
Funny story:
My 11th grade History teacher told us this:
One year for Christmas he gave his wife a lot of boxes to open. In each one was a picture of an item he was going to get her during the after Christmas sales. She really loved it when she got to the picture of a fur coat!! (I don't want to offend any animal lovers, I'm just relaying the story he told)
We all thought that was a fantastic idea!! Not so sure it would be so fantastic in my DS's eyes though.
