I'm HATE my English Comp Class!
I am having a super tough time with my English Comp class. I don't like writing essays and it is really bringing down my GPA! ARGH!! Kaku and Dark Matter is driving me KuKU!

Sorry you're struggling in this area....it's a shame its hitting the GPA.
My dd is a senior at university. When she was writing lots of essays I'd have her print them out and proof them then go back and make corrections and then proof them again. Next she'd have someone else read and proof one last time. By the 3rd time many of the tweeking had been done and she had a hard copy to show where she began. She started seeing a pattern and zoned in on that and as she learned her weak areas she was able to work on them. I'm also thinking that if you are younger generation, do a lot of twittering, texting and even forums like this you weaken some of your basic writing skills. You might to back off on some of that until the semester is over.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Not sure I can stop my CM habit for English! LOL.
I struggled my way through 5 paragraphs of a rough draft tonight. After$1 doubles tomorrow I'll proofread and redo. I'm just not diggin it 15 years out of highschool!

There is a "Formula"
thesis statement. supporting ideas and proof. conclusion. (which relates back to your initial statement) HTH. Be sure you list any references and cite them properly according to your instructors preferred method.  )

Suggestion if you are not limited to what you write about then write about something you love......hmmmm like coupons. It's always easier to write about something that you enjoy.

Is it a Comp 1 or Comp 2 class? Most Comp 1 classes focus on narratives meaning writing about yourself. Pick something that is meaningful to you. Comp 2 classes focus on research papers. If it helps I am currently writing a 50 page dissertation that is all yours if you want it
