Default Eeeeew.....

I just spent 3 hours cleaning out my pantry due to...

Dum.... duh dum dum....

Icky beetles. So. Gross. I feel like there are bugs crawling all over me. Gross!!! There were a couple things that I was stupid to not close up tighter (girl scout cookie tragedy.... hartz crunch n clean dog biscuits, to name a couple) that got infested. Eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwww......

Every box, bag, and bottle has been wiped down, shaken out, and re-baggied. Thank god for all the free ziploc from the Kmart doubles.... Hopefully baking Q's will start coming out again- I tossed a BUNCH of stuff just to be safe, 'cause it just wasn't worth it.

Did I say Ewww?

Just snagged some BOGO's from a clipping service... hopefully they'll arrive by Saturday!

I hope you don't. The first infestation was caused by flour. Do a google search for flour beetles. See if they look like what you had. At that time I vacuumed the cupboards and wiped down with I think it was lysol multi purpose cleaner. I also threw out all flour, breads, buns, open cereals etc. 3-4 weeks later I had another attack of the same bugs. Vacuumed, threw out more breadstuffs, cleaned with an OLD bottle of bleach and water and was unsure of the ratio. 3-4 weeks later, I came home and found ONE adult beetle. Threw out the breadstuffs again, vacuumed, made a fresh solution of 3 water and 1 bleach and soaked that ish. No more beetles. Gotta get ALL the eggs!

If you have room in your fridge or freezer put your flour in there. It will keep any eggs from hatching. And yes... almost all flour you buy has eggs.
