Oh my goodness! I have about 20 boxes of pasta on various shelves and now I want to freeze it! Doesn't it get "wet" when you freeze/thaw it? Wouldn't it get moldy then when you put it in another container..oh I'm being too worried now...

I have a tremendous amount of cabinets in my kitchen and 2 big pantry cabinets that i put in my garage. It's very hot in the garage in the summer and freezing cold in the winter so especially with pastas and cereals and things like that, i keep those in the garage in the winter and then in the kitchen cabinets in the summer because of course the air condition is on all summer so it's a better place to keep those kinds of things but I feel for anyone with the "critter" problem, DH laughs at me because that's what i call them, i know how you feel because, idon't know about the rest of you but has anyone ever noticed how fast the spider wbs form all the time? I vacuum my garage all the time, especially near my food pantries. I spray mostly at night because my little girls love to play outside and we use our garage entrance in and out constantly so i do all my spraying when they're asleep."critters" yuck!!!

Does anyone know the answer to this one? Just curious since it said earlier on to freeze your pasta for a couple days then store it on the shelf in containers instead.

I freeze every package of pasta, corn meal and flour that I bring into our house for a couple of days before adding it to the pantry. It doesn't get wet or moldy. I freeze it and then store it in glass containers or tupperware. So far it works for me!

We've had weevils before and I don't want them again!
