We'll go by the huge, funky parade that our small town (on an island) puts on. Everything from real floats, to little league teams in trucks, to basset hound brigades. Then, we'll go to a friend's house for a BBQ. Fireworks display in the eve.

My Husband and I will be boating at Folsom Lake if he wakes up and feels well enough to go. The best firework show we EVER saw (even better then Kauai) was here and we're hoping they do it again. Our lake if full, the weather is HOT (100 plus) so this will make for a great day - then home to make sure my Beagles are frightened by the explosions.

A day on the lake, what more could one ask for?!?!?!!!

Be safe everybody, have fun and make some special memories! Don't forget the reason we honor this day....

Macey

Not sure what I'll be up to, little one is spending weekend with her dad (which is something that doesn't come around often) so it will just be me
Might catch a movie, want to see "My Sisters Keeper" read the book and it was good. Need to get ready for a visit from my Mom. Its going to be a quiet and peaceful weekend I hope.

Our town hosts it's annual golf cart parade on the 4th of July. In actuality , there are very few golf carts that are in the parade( it's mostly floats of all sorts ) but everyone goes to this in a golf cart. So the parade route is lined with them. It really is something to see.
Then at night we will gather with a group of friends at my favorite golfcourse here and watch fireworks up over lake Peachtree .

Well, me, my hubby and kiddo's are going to Teledo Bend Lake to stay the weekend with my mom and dad. There is a big firework show over the lake. This weekend is even more special to us because it's my hubands very first weekend off in a year in a half. His primary job is Mon.-Thurs. but he had taken on a second job, Fri-Sun (last day 6-28). We have sooo been missin' our weekends together. So, it's a big deal for us and the kids... 4th of July and "got our daddy back".

Everyone have a wonderful weekend & be safe.

DH and I will be hosting my sister for a simple cook out and visit. Her spouse will be out of town on a shooting competition, and her daughter lives in NYC... so I thought I'd have a little mercy and share a free weiner with her. LOL she said "well can I have one of my own?" LOL
