Uggghhh...DD has strep throat
DD started complaining about a sore throat yesterday so I took her to the doctor today. Yep...she has strep throat.
 No school for her tomorrow either. I spoke with her teachers today and apparently it's been going around the school.

yep, going around in my local area too. Be sure the pitch her toothbrush after 24 hours of antibiotics! It harbors bacteria and is often forgotten about.

it's going around in FL as well..........my dd was on the way home the other day complaining and I told her to stop at Urgent Care.......sure enough strep but like every college kid (and probably every other school kid period) she was back at the school the next day.....let's just pass the lil ole germs about

Eek!
I remember getting strep as a kid... the doctor sticking that foot long Q-tip down my throat to get a sample hurt worse than the strep did... Hope everyone's kiddies get well soon!

another thing, be sure to finish all meds.... I just found my daughter's medicine in a basket on the kitchen counter
 ....she feels better so she figures she does not need it....we will be having a discussion about this when she gets home. I seem to be reminding her of this often these days........It was so much easier when she was younger.

my son used to have strep every other week. NO KIDDING... as soon as he would finish his meds he had it again... I thought they would remove his toncils... but didnt.
He has out grown it now for from age 4yrs - 6 yrs , it was constant.. and having to change his toothbrush every other week, and steralize everything... man.. I don't know how I did it... LOL Gotta Love him... (he's in Iraq again now)
