Default my $750,000 check for truthfullness

Mr. James Grant is trying to contact me to *reward* me with a 750k check my willingness to help him with his new house although our international transfer wasn't completed and he went with someone else. He wants my banking details....

Yea right? Would you believe a friend of ours fell for one of these scams? What a mess he had

What I could do with an extra 750k? Pay off bills, travel, pay off college loans for child in law school, invest in my retirement......... what would you do with this bonus check??

My FIL almost fell for that one too.
DH had to convince him that just because someone says something in an email or on the internet doesn't mean it's true!

    If I won $750K I would be calling a home builder...tonight!
Also pay off DHs truck, maybe buy some gifts, maybe a vacation, then invest the rest!

I don't play the lottery and don't have any wealthy relatives, so it'd have to be Publisher's Clearing House!

I was trying to sell my old car for $1200 on craiglist and I got one of those scammer-emails. Some guy told me they were gonna give me $2700 including $1500 for shipping and I was to send them the $1500 once I cashed the money order. Where do people come up with these crazy ideas to try to scam us?

Good thing your DH was aware of what was going on imagine the consequences

home builder......that's a great one to add to my list!!

and would you believe we had 2 wealthy relatives pass away in the last 2 years we did benefit much much more than we ever imagined they were frugal and we were amazed at their generosity.........we miss them very much yes, it's all invested but in this market scary.......

My cousin fell for one of those scams. She said she thought it was a Passover Blessing. I wanted to smack her upside the head. To be in your mid 20s and fall for that is a tad ridiculous, in my opinion anyway.

When I was trying to sublet my apartment through Craigslist someone tried to send me the rent for the 10 months remaining in the lease. I thought it was a bit suspicious for someone to send me that much money without seeing the place. So I told them never mind. They then asked me to deposit the money orders into my account and keep a couple hundred for my troubles. THEN get new money orders and return them to their address... AHHHH.... NOOOOO!!!

I had/have enough LEGAL debt coming out of college... I do NOT need any ILLEGAL bills/lawsuits/debt/whatever you wanna call it.

These scams are getting a lot of people. I remember seeing a few specials on like 20/20 and some other shows.

It's sad but I think my mother would fall for this if she were computer literate. I'm so glad she has no interest in using the computer.
