Default time to clean out spice cabinet

As I was clipping out McCormick cpns it reminded me I had run out of some items at Christmastime and I needed to add them to my grocery list.

Also, the other night when I was making my Spicy Apricot chicken breasts I used the chili pepper without looking at it closely.......it seemed a little clumped but hey it'd been awhile since I used that spice............as my daughter was eating it she said it looked like bugs......I said nah it's just clumped chili pepper but upon closer inspection.....it was bugs since it was already cooked I just picked it out but before finishing dinner I got up and threw that spice away

So check your spices and make sure they are bug free!!

who would of thought bugs could live in chili powder?

Nope I just got up and immediately threw the bottle away, wanted nothing else to do with it!!

You should of seen me in the spice aisle the other night, carefully looking at all the bottles, not that I could really see anything but it did make me feel better.

If your spices are in a tin ....that means they are probably 15 years old. Beware....Now go check your spice rack ladies.

ROTFLOL! A little extra protein just in case there wasn't enough in the chicken. I'm honestly surprised bugs would want to live in chili powder.

you know that's another good reason for all of us to inspect our food.....

when I live overseas I check every box, tin, jar but here in US I get lazy....thus bugs in my chili powder. Ugh now I have to go check out all the pasta I bought last week.
