Default I am in also!

I am about 100lbs. over weight. But I am going to set my goals for 30lbs. at a time. I am 24 with 3 kids- after having my last child I went on the depo shot- i gained about 60 pounds in 3 months. All I did was eat and eat. Then after 3 months I decided I needed something else- and got a tubal. I have talked to my doctor and he suggested doing weigh twatchers online combined with the Alli plan. So today I ordered the Alli cookbook and the alli pills. I am going to try to walk on my treadmill for an hour a night. an make sure that i use portion control with my eating. Wish me luck!!!

I would like to lose 60 pounds.

I am just planning to eat better and watch my calories. I have been on many diets and i find if I deprive myself of somthing I really want. I will continue to undeprive myself forever.

For the first time in our marriage DH also needs to lose weight.
We have been doing it now for about 2 weeks and I have not lost a thing.

I plan to go to the gym as often as my body will allow ( MS). Last week I made it twice and that is better than I have done all year.

I find if I have the junk in my house I will eat it. I threw all the ice cream out last week.

I know how to eat healthy. I just need to do it.

My mini goal for this month is 10 pounds

You ladies have no clue how badly I needed this. I probably need to lose at least 70 pounds. I am on my feet all day and have a very physical job so I at least have that on my side. DH and I have made gradual changes over the past few weeks. Eating more fruits and steamed veggies. We eat only 100% whole wheat, whole grain bread and we are drinking much less soda. I am also looking forward to the return of warm weather so that we can get back out walking with our dog. We do have a free gym here at our apartment complex that we have pledged to start using on Monday. On top of this we are trying to quit smoking.

I think this thread is going to be a huge motivation.

I have had a gym membership for 5 years through DH's work at Pure fitness and have maybe used it 5 times. I also use to have a treadill. I used that twice and sold it. It was a lower end one and the platform was too narow.

I have had so much at my disposile. I am saying right here and now as I did above. I WILL BE GOING TO THE GYM. It was 50 I needed to lose and now I am working on 70 !

Please count me in! Maybe I can motivate a couple of you and in return, please help to push me along.

I am 41, I had my 1st Heart Attack just after my 40th birthday.

I was about 25lbs overweight when I had my Heart Attack. A year and a half later -- I AM A WHOPPING 90LBS OVERWEIGHT! My cardiologist has threatened me, if I don't lose 20lbs in 3 months, he will refer me to a bariatric surgeon. WHAAAAA????? No, no, no, I don't want to do it. I just lost 6lbs. in 2 weeks! I need to push on. I could blame the weight on 'quitting smoking' and lack of exercise and medication...but really, at this point, those are just excuses.

Here are the things that I have done to improve my health.
- Quit Smoking. If you need encouragement, I'm here for you.
- Walking. At least 30min 3X per week.

But, I packed on the pounds, even with leading a healthier lifestyle.

I need a buddy or a few. I need some encouragement! I used to be a hot babe, back in my 20's. Isn't 40 supposed to be the new 20??? I want to be HOT again. I want to say with pride, I'm 40-something, I've had a heart attack and I am living life to the fullest (frugally) and I'm HOT HOT HOT!!! ...and married! LOL Hubby would like me to add the disclaimer, "look, but don't touch"!

We can all be "Hot (coupon) Mom's"

Hi Bella, he didn't give me a diet. He just said, 'lose it, or else!' I didn't know that I was even big enough to see a Bariatric Surgeon! I quit looking in the mirror ages ago...LOL

Needing some dieting pals. Makes me double glad that I found this website. Kinda like double man q's!

Seeing you post, I was where you are. I have been on weight watchers for a year and 3 months and I have lost a total of 160lbs. I'm 26 with 2 kids and at one time was also on the depo shot which I gaind 60-80lbs with in the year I was taking it. From there I just seemed to fall into a hole and gained even more. Last year I realized I really needed to do something. Which I had said to myself many times, but at that point it was different, I have surprised myself by sticking to it. My number one fear is putting it back on but I take one day at a time. I have mainly lost the weight by just following weight watchers, when I have time I will work out with the wii fit which I love. But my goal is to get more exercise and to keep eating right. Good Luck to everyone
