So I weigh in once a month and that day was Saturday. The verdict...no weight loss! I was a bit bummed, but then went home and measured myself and found that even though I didn't lose any "weight", I lost 2 inches. So that made me perk up a bit. I hit a good workout on Saturday, but Sunday nothing with the Superbowl. I have been sick since Monday and did manage a 30 minute slow workout on the treadmill, but managed to sweat out some germs! Despite that, I'm still sick and have done minimal activity the last couple of days but also have not been overeating, because I have no appetite. So...hopefully this weekend will be a fresh start for me for the month and I can get back on track with the weight loss! My goal is within reach....just can't grasp it quite yet!

Great job everyone!!!

I wanted to mention something that helped me tremendously when I was loosing weight. I always would work out before a meal, for me it seemed more effective. My body would be worked up, my metabolism a little higher, my body going through the calories a little quicker....... I know the recommendation is to exercise after you eat so you can fuel your body, but after eating - I couldn't get my behind up to exercise so I'd have a healthy snack and then exercise. It worked best for me, see if it works for you.

The crazy thing for me.. I am atleast 60 pounds overweight but I have always been atleast 30pounds overweight. It is just the way I was made. I was 9.2pounds when I was born ! My weight has never effected my bloodpressure or anything but my knees have always been pretty bad..I also do not plan on ever getting pregnant at this weight. I think if i could lose the weight. i would be more apt to pursue getting pregnant.

I did google the diet..I have yet to figure out if there is a book yet..
I think it is a good thing to get a jump start on losing the weight but it would not be somthing I would stick to especially because like I said I want it to be a lifestyle change and if I did somthing like that as soon as the weight was off i would be right back to eating like I was...

I like the idea of losing 2 pounds a week..

Tonight was another munchie night. I know what the problem is. I am craving ice cream..I need to go shopping to get some yogurt..I also think that a protein shake may help cure that craving...

I almost went to make one then realized I am pretty tired and I would wake with a tummy ache...

Hope everyone is doing good !
We will all get there. Don't get discouraged. if you fall off get right back on..

I have never heard of that diet. I guess it would be a good way to knock off some pounds fast but it certainly would not amount to a lifestyle change for me and that is what I am striving for..I have done the dieting and it just does not work..Does it have a name or canI just google it?

LOL. I felt a little crazy at first. But I used to work in a doctor's office and was moving around all day and that helped. Now i'm in the corporate world working behind the scenes of the doctor's offices. I sit ALL DAY attending meetings where there is always food. Your body loves little bursts of exercise like that. IT REALLY DOES. Before you know if you've done 30-40 minutes of cardio a day. Depending on how many times you do this a day. I love aerobics and am joining my class again this weekend.

looknsave: Inches are good! Congratulations!

MnMz, as always, sounds like great advice!

NayNay: I hear ya. Oh trust me, I hear ya. I actually look back at pictures where I was about 10 pounds overweight and I look downright anorexic. I'm short, but I have a 'sturdy' frame. I'm not trying to say I'm merely big-boned, lol, but I feel I look my best with a little extra weight (compared to the charts).

2-4 Tally:

Coffee, 120
1 small hamburger, no bun
1 small bit of oven baked potatoes
1 yogurt, 90
1 apple, 80

Exercise: bumped it up to a whole 20 minutes, from 15. I am working on a 'system' of time management to spend every hour I sit here working, I spend 5 minutes doing some sort of activity. I must admit, this worked out really well yesterday. I didn't become as lethargic in the afternoon as I did before!

2-5:
coffee, bowl of Cheerios with milk, and then dinner out at Culvers. After a long, ravishing day, I had a cheeseburger and an order of onion rings.

I passed on all the ice cream treats, so that's something anyway, right?

Ten minutes of exercise.

This morning, I think I'll go clearance shop a bit. That's always motivating isn't it? Clothes shopping?

Well I finally gave in and had some ice cream. I think it was a frozen yougurt. It is called churn by dreyers. Dh said it looked the healthiest..I had my 1/2 cup or so and went to bed. I normally would have had a few other things to try and sooth my craving but I had the real thing..

So I think sometimes it is better to just have it then not!

Well today is may last day (#11) on low carb. I get 3 cheat days. I'm a little worried, I might overdue on carbs those days. I have been looking forward to these days soooooo much. I think I'll write down everything that I just gotta have and have some, drink plenty of water and try to watch the carbs/calories on the other stuff. Failing to plan is planning to fail, right? We'll see.

I think I will try to do alittle exercize next go around nothing crazy, cardio and some free weights maybe. I think I will also investagate on a low carb diet that I feel I can do the rest of my life, for whatever reason this does seem to work for me.

Good luck everyone, this isn't easy, we just have to keep at it!

Default With this much Motivation...I am In!

OK...so I am one of those can't sit at the computer and work without putting something in my mouth kind of eater...always goes for driving the car...watching TV...you get the picture...

I took a new job that allows me to work from home this past November. LOVE my job but the refrigerator is becoming a problem...especially over the holidays...I realized at one point around C-MAS that I had eaten an entire bag of Hershey Kisses in about 30 minutes-no joke.

I have always struggled with my wait for obvious reasons and so I have a VERY long way to go to the final goal....But I am going to start with 50 lbs.

My plan is to follow Weight-Watchers and to get moving again...I really enjoy lap swimming and walking the dog...I will check in Monday and let you know how things are going.

Default Weigh in today

Well today is weigh in day and I managed to lose 7.5 lbs in a week and a half . Now granted I need to take off the 4lbs I gained on my 3 cheat days, but that is still 4.5 lbs. I'm starting to feel it in my clothes some, I still have a way to go but this is giving me the motivation to stick with it.

In 3 days I will be back on the diet for the 3rd cycle.

With this diet and checking in on this thread I know I can make it. Never give up we are worth it!
