Kraft Cat-trouble rolling

I have lost 2 cats so far. The last 2 times I have tried to roll the $10 wouldn't scan and the cashier had to enter it manually, which I think is screwing up my order. And the cat is not printing.
Thoughts?
On the bright side, tonight at my Jewel I found the following tearpads:
$1 off wyb kraft cheese and any Nabisco cracker
$1 0ff any water product wyb crystal light
$1 off wheat thins artisans
$1 off triscuits

1)does the kraft deal (10 cat when you spend 25) calculated based on the sale price or regular retail price? How does the use of a coupon effect this also?

2)what are tearpads and where do I find them?

This deal is based on the shelf/pre-sale price(i.e. I bought 7 bags of cheese @ $2 each but the shelf price was $4.)

Coupons do not effect the Catalina printing.

Tearpads are pads of coupons that are usually placed either right in front of an item/product or on endcaps where a display would be.

Call Catalina. I went from one store to another. First store Cats printed fine...second nothing. I called and they are sending me the missing Cats.

Sidenote, the use of your Cats should have no barring. I've rolled this deal over ten times now and only had one not print.
