I never find anything worth going to Ingles for?

We live out in the stix and Ingles is the closest grocery store to us, yet I always end up going to the next county to hit Publix and Kroger.

I try to use the coupon database at couponmom.com and the sales ad from Ingles to match up deals and rarely do I find anything that would be cheaper there, than at the other stores. Either I suck at trying to find the deals, or Ingles needs to step up.

Where i grew up we had an ingles and the were so expensive never seemed like anything was on sale. We only had and ingles and kroger at that time we didnt have a walmart either. But they went out a couple of years ago and now its a farm store lol. And they stay busy all the time. maybe thats because there is more livestock than people

I have an Ingles in my neighborhood too but I seldom go there. It's a shame too because it's a nice, clean store with a very friendly staff and I can scan my own coupons there in the self-checkout. The problem is after I scan my coupons, it's still more expensive than the regular price elsewhere!

I always check the ads but the only thing I ever buy there is meat. Sometimes, they will have ground beef on sale when no one else does.

i guess im the odd ball but i love ingles and i do find good buys there alot maybe i can put the deals i find on here sometimes in fact my coupon binder is organized according to the ingles store. Ive been shopping at ingles forabout 20 years(boy that makes me sound old) just off the top of my head last week i got 5 bags of imas cat food for 1.98 each it was on sale for 6.98 for a 4 pound bag and i had a 5.00 coupon off on each bag my cat surely did like that deal. i guess its what 7you get use to.

We don't have Ingles out here in the west... at least I've never seen one.

Have you ever asked the manager at Ingles if they will price match Publix or Kroger? It might be worth your time to take in the competitors advert and see what he says... who knows you might be surprised... After all the worst thing he can do is say "Nope!" and then you can say "Gee, that's too bad, I'd much rather spend my money locally.... but I just can't afford your prices."

I have the same problem. We also live out in the country. Our nearest Publix and Kroger is nearly an hour away. Ingles is close and they do double coupons but even then often the price is still more the other stores. I have asked the manager if they would match prices and they said "No."
