    Default Red Hot Weekend

I heard an advertisement on the radio... Red Hot Weekend this Saturday and Sunday. The ad will be available 5:00 on Thursday on their website.

I get excited when I hear about a big sale... but then I remembered all the previous letdowns with Hy-Vee. Who knows if it'll be worth it!

    Default Hormel sale

I believe there is a recent insert Q for $1 off any Hormel "Always Tender" product. Could make the Hormel Pork Loin Back Ribs $1.89 lb. limit 8 deal a bit sweeter!

    Best,
    Rosie

    Default Deals @ Hy-Vee

    Friends:

Great deals I found this Saturday on Hy-Vee's Red Hot deals 2-day promotion thru Sunday 5/23:

***Hormel Always Tender Pork Ribs (BBQ Baby!):
Recent insert (5/2 SS) $1 on any package Always Tender

My Hy-Vee had $4.35-$4.85 packages of pork ribs (priced ~$1.98/lb) and combined with the recent $1 Q was a great deal for the freezer and summer campouts.

***For Wine Drinkers: Sutter Home Wine Display w/ Build a Better Burger $1 off Beef WYB wine (lowest priced bottle is ~$3.49) combined with the Red Hot deal of $1.48 roll of beef. Can't miss walking past this display on your way to deli, fresh produce, cheese stand, bakery, etc. Other Qs included in the winetag like $1 off Bic Utility or pocket lighters.

SUPER GREAT DEAL not tied to the 2-day sale:

***Buy 3 Betty Crocker featured stuff get $3.75 OYNO (Milk) -- see Hy-Vee website web ad listed on the website in addition to the print ad.

I bought 3 of one of the advertised specials: 4/$5 Suddenly Salad = $1.25 ea X 3 = $3.75) and RECEIVED $3.75 cat OYNO (tied to some milk promotion but the Cat machine was out of ink so I had to ask manager). $1.20 MM because I had 3, $.40/1 Qs for the Suddenly Salad (thanks couponswapster).

Combine the $3.75 OYNO w/ the $1.50 Nabisco cookies and milk Q, the Carnation $.50/2 Q and/or the $.50 Roberts Dairy Q (several recent inserts) to get a really sweet deal.

Must have been just yours. I bought 3 BC Products today, Suddenly Salads to be exact and didn't get a CAT. The spot you're talking about on the ad still shows the Cereals on mine.

    HyVee Bites.

We don't get 1/2 the deals you guys do. Our ad is MAYBE 1/2 the size of yours. Same with Fareway.

    Hi, Laylian:

My Hy-Vee is usually very accommodating. This deal is advertised in the web only ad flyer and might not be known to every cashier. You might consider taking your receipt to the CS Desk and ask them to verify the deal by looking it up on their CS computer. It's listed on the Sioux City Hy-Vee online flyer.

Hy-Vee does suck. Today, the catalina machine for the line I went thru was out of ink!! I was expecting "wine bucks" and the OYNO $3.75 cat and maybe something else (you never know when you buy multiples of some brand name item).

Stood my ground and asked for manager. He wrote out a receipt for the $3.75 milk cat and another for the wine bucks.

I feel that sometimes they can be accused of false advertising. How many people went through that lane and did not even realize they had bought something that triggered a $3.75 OYNO catalina?? The cashier actually gathered up a bunch of blank Cats and said, "Oops, out of ink" when I asked for my OYNO.

We know because of our diligence on CouponMom but others don't know they don't know and I think that's ripping the unenlightened off. Poor marketing follow through on Hy-Vee's part.

You might also consider calling the Catalina # with your receipt in hand. They may be more accommodating.

    In friendship,

    Rosie
