    Default KC Deals 8/12 - 8/18

Where have all our posters gone? I miss you all! Here is what I'm purchasing this week at the stores. Mine may look a little sparse. We're having to really cut back on everything due to 10 weeks without jobs. Feel free to fill in with things I skipped.

    Hen House:
    Yoplait GoGurt: $1.98 -$.352x = $1.28/8 or $.16/tube
    Eggo Waffles: $1.50 - $1/2 = $1/box
    Fisher Snacks: $1.29 - $1 = $.29/canister
    Hungry Jack Syrup: $2.79 - $1 = $1.79 (goes through 9/13)
    Pizza rolls: $.99 - $.40/2 2x = $.59/box
    Tony's pizza pouches: $1.50 - $.502x = $.50box or $.25/piece

    HyVee:
    Skippy: $.99 - $.60 = $.39
    Beef: $1.49/lb.
    Ice cream: $2.99/4 qt. pail
HyVee cookies & crackers: $1 each

    PC:
BarS bacon: $1.69 (There is supposed to be an IP out there making it $1.19)

    Target:
    Apples: $1.29/lb - $1 Target Q = $.29/3 apples
    Bananas: $.64/lb - $.50 Target Q = $.14/3 bananas

Supposedly Target price matches and you can get these free this week if you bring in the ads from HyVee & PC, but I couldn't get it to work. Just an FYI.

    Enjoy!

I'm still here! And I appreciate your (and everyone else's) tips! I just haven't had much time to search on my own. My coupon basket is a nightmare and has been all summer. I'm sorry to hear about the job situation...I've got the opposite problem. Work is totally crazy and it's been all about OT...and it will continue to x-mas. We're eating off the stockpile and I'm getting loss leaders that I can match with recent inserts and IPs only. No time to dig. Add a gallon of milk and you see my shopping.

And I can report that I sent DH to Target to get free apples last week (with the HyVee add for .88c/lb Granny Smith) and it worked at SMPkwy. I figured it was YMMV.

I'm still here too! Sorry -- I've been busy this last week.... I have a new part time serving job to earn $$ for mortgage and bills while I'm still looking for a job myself (and after Dh was laid off), so not too much time lately to check ads and post myself! This week should be a little better schedule, and I'm hoping to get a phone call in the next day or so about a job interview I had the other week -- Cross your fingers for me!

I was out a bit last Tuesday to catch some of last week's sales, but prob will wait until next week for another outing besides a Petsmart run to get needed food for my "kids"... we are pretty well stocked now, and DH went out earlier today for a couple of things. I did have a great Target trip the other day, though -- and just have to send away for the Fuel for School rebate!

Sorry to hear about your job loss. Man I sure hope the economy turns
    around!!

What I would like to know is what the heck is our president going to do with
so many American's out of work???? I know he walked into this mess
but he needs to do something and something fast.

Thanks for all the responses! I'm glad to know I'm not alone out there. It does seem like everyone I know is touched by job loss by at least one member of the family. I truly hope it turns around soon too. In the meantime, we'll just keep saving money with our coupons
