    Default This week's deals!

I had a good time shopping today. Lots of deals out there. Here's what I picked up. If you find anything else good, please pass it along.

    Hen House:
    Big Red 2 liters: $.99 - $1/2 = $.49/liter
Jolly Time Popcorn: $1.50 - $.50Q 2x = $.50/box (There's also a promo out with them that if you buy 3 boxes, you get 10 free music downloads)
    Quaker Oats: $.99 - $.30Q 2x = $.39/container
    Aunt Jemima syrup: $2.00 - $1/2 = $1.50/bottle
    Bounty paper towel roll: $.84 - $.25Q 2x = $.34/roll

Don't forget that if you buy 5 Quaker products (shown on flier), you get $3.00 off your purchase. You essentially can get 3 items free. If you have enough coupons for the Quaker oats, this can be a money maker.

I also didn't know that you get a $.05 credit per reusable bag you bring with you to use.

    Price Chopper:
Frozen turkey rolls: $1.00 a piece
    Hormel pepperoni: $1.00 - $.35Q = $.65/package

    HyVee:
    Skippy: $.99 - $.60Q = $.39/jar (limit 2)
    Pillsbury crescents: $1.66 - $1.00 IPQ = $.66/can
    Butter: $1.28/box

Lastly, don't forget that you can get up to 15 free Hallmark cards this week at CVS. I wasn't sure if that was the limit, but it is. I already did it!

    Enjoy!

It's the darndest thing...I bought pepperoni last week b/c I needed them and now, wouldn't you know it, there's a coupon and a sale. Doh

As for Hen House, don't forget that Aunt Jemima is Quaker. I didn't need any of the other Quaker items, but really could use the syrup, so I've been holding 5 Q's ever since they came out just waiting to pounce. The $3 Quaker offer is for 5 items, but the Q is for 2, so I needed a multiple of 2 and 5. Hence, I got 10 bottles of syrup for $9.00. I'll take 90 cents each!

Nice job. I didn't have that many syrup Q's, but I did include them as part of my 5. Helping reduce the cost even further

Note about the Jolly Time popcorn...I went to the website and you can print out 2 Qs for $1/1. So, you can take them to Hen House and get more $0.50 popcorn. Or, if you go to the Price Chopper at 119th/Metcalf you can get the same popcorn FREE! The Price Chopper in Shawnee didn't have the popcorn for 99 cents, but the one in southern OP did, so I can't guarantee it will for any of the others. For the 119/Metcalf one it is a big pile right in front of the door...can't miss it. The only flavors available were two of the butter ones, so if you want kettle corn or something you should take the Q to Hen House.

Then, once you buy 3 boxes of popcorn, cut off the upcs and go back to the Jolly Time website and find out where to mail away for a free reusable shopping bag, which will make you 5 cents every time you take it to Hen House. Not a bad deal...

My Hen House didn't have any special price on Bounty paper towels, but I would love to have some at that price. Which one are you shopping at? Was it an in-store special?

I usually shop at the one on Sante Fe and Blackbob. It was listed as their "new low price." Hopefully yours will follow suit.
