Ok my dinky HEB did not have them yet but the butcher said that next week they are going to have them in some sort of Meal Deal so maybe I can get them next week.

Okay. I finally tried to use the coupons tonight. I price checked the chicken and it was on sale for $1 (although the price on shelf sticker says $3.48). I tried to buy two and that might have been my mistake. Neither of my coupons went through. The cashier went from "Let me try it" to "It won't let me do it manually" to "It says you're only allowed to use one" to "I have people waiting" to "We don't take coupons with this type of barcode." I might try another HEB tomorrow and only get one box as a test.

Update:
I was able to use the coupon today at another HEB. The cashier at first said she needed the manager's approval because it was black and white (all my other coupons were from inserts i.e. in color). The manager told her it was fine. She still seemed reluctant to use it but the manager told her to try it and accept the coupon as long as it scanned. She made a half-hearted attempt and said it wouldn't work. But when she moved her hand the scanner read it and applied it to my purchase. She did not seem excited by that at all. I have one more coupon but I almost don't even want to use it because of the reactions I've gotten so far.
