Free Cat food and more at HEB

There were a lot of clearance items at HEB today (look for purple stickers on the shelves):

Meow Mix Market Select Chicken Breasts in Gravy - Clearance Price .25 - MQ $1.00/4 = free.

LouAna Canola Corn Oil Clearance from $3.49 down to $1.75 - MQ .50 = $1.25.

HEB Bake Shop Whole Wheat Bread $1.00 off in-store coupon. There was also a coupon for buy two breads, get Cascadian Farms Fruit Spread free.
They didn't have any Cascadian brand fruit spread but they substituted HEB brand More Fruit. I didn't think I could use
the coupons on the bread plus the get-fruit-spread-free, but it worked

I have not been shopping at HEB for the last few months, but I was in San Marcos last Thursday and y'all know they really don't have anything else! Except WM, but anyway. I ran into the HEB on the west side of town and saw the clearance oil. I was able to get 1-24 oz Louana Canola for $1.43, 1-64oz Louana Veg for $2.71 and 1-128oz for $3.80 - I think...it was $3something. Anyway, the 50c/1 Q specified 48oz or larger which the canola was not, so I priced the Louisana Fish Fry - $0.92 each, so I used the $1.50 coupon for buying one Louana Oil and one Louisiana Fish Fry. I essentially got the fish fry for free and saved $0.58 per oil.

So, I went to the HEB on the east side of San Marcos, but they only had the Crisco small bottle of something on sale, but it wasn't really a sale to me because if you double it to get a 48oz bottle it came out to more than I would pay for Target brand 48oz - not cost effective for me. I had them price check the other items, but they weren't on sale at that store.

So....on the way back to Houston I stopped in Luling - it's a small HEB like on the west side of San Marcos. Theirs were marked down as well, but they were out-of-stock . A few days later I checked the small HEB on Mason in Katy, and it had some of the same markdowns but not all and again, they were out-of-stock, so in answer to your question mm1761...check all the small HEB stores in the Austin area. They probably marked down, and if you are lucky, you will be able to stock up! If so, let us know about it!!! I REALLY need a lot of cheap cooking oil!!
