I was wondering if anyone lives in NB, Tx??? I feel like I have so much to learn.

I'm in San Antonio, and I'm pretty new too! I've mostly only been shopping at Walgreens and CVS, because apparently HEB doesn't let you stack? I don't know, I got away with a "stack" last week.
Anyway, good luck getting started, I'm still learning too!
I am west of Houston, and I was in HEB today. I don't shop there as much anymore since I started couponing. One problem is if it's an IP and it doesn't scan, they won't accept it...period. They don't push the IP's thru the system. Fortunately, the $1/1 Friskies Party Mix treats all scanned today, so I got 5 packages for FREE!!![]()
I haven't tried to stack very much at HEB. When I have done it, I have had more than a handful of items, hoping the q's would just get scanned!
I wish you all the best in your new couponing shopping experiences!! 2009 was my first full calendar year to be a couponer, and I reduced my grocery bill 40% over 2008, AND I now have a full pantry, stockpile, etc, etc. It takes planning, organization...and shopping at stores (Kroger & Randall's/Tom Thumb/Safeway) which double & triple q's!!

I only have HEB, WM, ALbertsons. Albertsons to expense only go for awsome sales, I ALWAYS have issues with Walmart and coupons, so I can only shop at HEB. I have made a spred sheet and on amsaving between 35% and 46% on every shopping trip. I do much better at CVS and Wags. Between 70% and Free. I try to stack at HEB depends on the cashier sometimes they just handput the ones that do not scan.
HIya I am in SA... on the West Side.
Just moved here this past summer.
Mostly I shop at Super Target . Started in Feb @ Wags, and just recently
added CVS. I rarely go to HEB.
I only have a target.I miss my SUPER target!!! I did get .50 frosting today at my target.

I am in McAllen Tx... I know its not very close to NB But we are originally from Austin! LOL Has anyone noticed that sometimes the prices listed in the database are not the prices in the stores??
I'm a fellow NB couponer.
Go to the asian cashier at walmart. She will push anything through as long as you talk with her while she's ringing you up. Whatever you do avoid the short guy with the glasses and beard/mustache. Not only is he slow, he scrutinizes everything you buy.
There is the young guy at HEB who refused to use the yellow coupons with manufacturer coupons when I went through his line. This after ringing me up and telling me the total without even ringing the coupons in I had given him. I explained to him that their store policy does allow both and asked for a manager. When it was all said and done he rang them all through. We have mutually agreed, without discussion, that I will stand in line even when he is open because he hated being schooled in front of my daughter who he had been flirting with up til the coupon issue and I don't like having to be assertive at the store. The younger female cashiers at HEB get excited about the savings so I try to make sure to go to them :-)
Have you ventured into La Fiesta in San Antonio yet? Interesting place. Their produce is hit or miss, but when I was getting red peppers three for a dollar and naval oranges 10 for a dollar I decided to keep them in mind before leaving work. I also made it up to the Sattler Super S for triple coupons last week.
Oh, and hit target with your french's mustard coupons quick! spicy brown is marked down to .98 a bottle, with .75 cents off coupon the week before last!
Hey fellow Texans...I am down here sort of between Houston and Beaumont. I just started this couponing thing (crazy I didn't start before) because we have THREE college boys living with us and they are eating us out of house and home!
I have a choice, like most of you I'm sure, on where to shop. Which do you think is better...Walmart or HEB ?? If you had to choose.
Thanks!
Hmmm...I used to live between Houston & Beaumont! Since I am currently boycotting HEB, I would have to say Wal Mart- espicially so since they price match. Since I am boycotting HEB, I am price matching their ads at WM, so I'm really not missing HEB - except for their own line of frozen foods like the Spicy Chicken Nuggets!
If you are close to Baytown, I know Food Town used to have some really good deals - especially when paired with coupons!
If you are closer to Beaumont and they still have Albertson's around, you can find some fantastic deals there! We don't have Albertson's anymore in the Houston area...I really miss them. Since Kroger quit doubling/tripling, I pretty much shop at Randall's & Super Target.
