My Texas Life

I just recently heard about an in store magazine called My Texas Life. Have any of you seen this in the stores? I'm going to look the next time I go. I've heard that it has a ton of HEB coupons inside that are different than the advertised ones. If you find it be sure to post here and tell us. Look in the front of the store...not sure where....

A friend brought one to work. Has a nice bunch of coupons in it, including a $5 off $25 steak purchase.

Maybe this will help me start shopping at HEB. I just can't get myself to shop there even though I have one 5 mins away. The last few times I went was so horrible with limits and $10 purchases...I was so frustrated and said I wouldn't go back. Maybe I just need to learn their system like I have to do with other stores. Where in the store did you find the magazine?

Thanks for posting the pic Julie! Yes where did you find it in the store? (or rather your friend find it) I sent my DH to the store yesterday and asked him to look for it. He brought back the sales ad... silly man. But at least he tried. LOL

I don't know. I'll have to ask when I see her again. I asked my daughter to bring me coupons from the paper into the store once and she brought me all the CVS fliers!

The magazine is free. Wouldn't be surprised if they go quick.

Wow, I have lived in Texas for 40 years and I didn't find out about this magazine until today. My Mom told me that she gets it every week. I have gone to two different HEBs at least twice a week and I have never seen one. Evidently they stack them by the check out counter where they have the bags for the baggers. They put them in the grocery bags until they are gone, since my mom is a senior citizen maybe they do this around the 3rd of the month when they receive their checks. I'm going to check every time I go now until I see one

One of our HEB's has it in the rack w/ the weekly sales flyers. The magazine is in the bottom section of the rack and is located at the front door of the produce entrance. Another HEB has them available at the registers. I get one every month.

I have a tough time shopping at HEB very frequently because of their difficult and confusing coupon policy, which I do carry with me! Most of my non-couponing friends shop there, and it kills me when they say "I saved $14 at HEB this week, and look at the things I got for FREE!" I say "Really? Good for you!! How much was your total OOP?" They say "$235" My response is to choke & gasp in horror. That almost takes care of my budget for the whole month, and we would still be hungry!

I love this magazine. Not just for the coupons. Some of the recipes are really great. I have several meals in rotation taken from the pages of these mags.

I always see them on the bottom of the sales circular rack.

I don't usually use those coupons, but they come out about once a month at the beginning of each month.
