Well when you live in south Texas where your only choices are Walmart & HEB you learn to be a little creative. LOL My only secret is to stockpile when you find a good deal at HEB. Lately their meat has been really affordable, so I'm starting to fill my freezer. They have also lowered some of their prices, my guess is to compete with Walmart.

Free water! I'll be on the lookout for that too Was the Kens dressing with salad purchased an advertised deal? We didn't have that one in our ad down here. I'm beginning to think that some of their deals are different... I haven't really figured out their marketing strategy.

I sent HEB an e-mail asking if they would consider a store loyalty card, but they claim that is too expensive to put that in and prices would have to be raised. My question would be, aren't the prices a little high now???

Hmm...and how would this be expensive? As for store loyalty...there's not much choice. Now if they had a Krogers then it would be ON!

and yes the salad dressing was free with salad purchase. I needed dressing so it worked out good.
