    Default coupon issues at HEB

The last few times I've gone to HEB they have given me a really hard time about coupons. I have a copy of the coupon policy (unfortunately I didn't have it with me that day) that clearly states that you can stack store and manf coupons, but are not allowed an overage (price adjusted to the actual cost). They have been refusing them outright. Do I just get the cranky cashiers, or do others have this problem? Maybe I should just shop Walmart instead...

Did the store coupons have a M in the lower corner? If so they consider them to be manufactures coupons. That is one thing I hate about HEB. If you want to put something on sale, just lower your price!!! Don't put out this "fake" store coupon and not let people use the real manufactures coupons. Sorry... had to go off there.. I normally shop Walmart, but you'll get those cranky cashiers anywhere.

I have not had any issues with using the HEB coupons. Thanks for the hint about the M. There were a couple of times where the register would not take it but the cashier just overrode it. My last two times at HEB I have saved about 60.00 in coupons.

The best I've done at HEB is saving $30. I'm going to try planning my menu for 2 weeks based on what's on sale next week. They're getting ready to open a Super Target down the road. I'm definitely going to visit. I used to shop HEB exclusively for everything but have now learned to split my shopping into 2 different days and buy only what I have to at HEB. Thanks for the M clue!

What are you buying to be able to use so many q's at HEB? I used about $7 last week and that was a good day for me. I shop once a week and I simply don't find that many things that are worth using coupons on. I have shifted some of my buying over to WAGS and CVS but still don't come close to $30 in q's.

I get so upset with HEB!!! Manufacturers Coupons, my behind!!! I stopped shopping there for a while, but all I have here besides them is Walmart. So, I have to go to HEB at least once per month. It is a nice store and all, but the coupon policy sticks in my craw, if you know what I mean!!
