    Default Wal-Mart and competitors coupons

I generally don't price match or use competitors coupons at Wal Mart becasue it is just TOO much of a hassle and with 2 young kids I don't need the extra hassle! LOL. But today I decided to use a $4 CVS store coupon for some pull-ups because every time i've tried to buy them at CVS they didn't have the bigger bags and the coupon was for 42+ count. So long story short thy told me they can't take the coupon from CVS becasue they don't get reembursed for it? Now I thought they took RRs and ECBs?? Wouldn't that be the same situation?! They finally DID let me use the coupon "just this once" but I was wondering if I was in the wrong?? I didn't throw a stink about it or anything, but they acted like I was trying to steal from the store. Policy could have changed, like I said i don't normally use other stores coupons there and would have happily left if they had said no. Just curious! Thanks!!

I thought they only took competitor coupons if they actually specified a price. For instance, a coupon from the Walgreens ad that says pencils 10/$1 with coupon. The coupon must have a specific selling price, not dollars off. I think the RRs are actually manufacturers coupons and that is why they take them.

Some Walmart stores will accept the Register Rewards from Walgreens as they say "mfr. coupons" on them.

I thought the dollars/cents off was okay only if it wasn't a catalina coupon. I think I need "professional" help.
