Oh my...then, you would really be shocked to know the price of day care! (Of course, we do live in a very expensive market.) Long before I was married or had a child, I worked hard on my couponing and saving because I knew these expenses would come one day. Time is really limited now, but I'm trying to get back to couponing and budgeting like I used to do.

Congratulations!!! I am a first-time grandma too! My grandson is 5 mos. old now, and he and mom live with us. He is such a blessing!!! He brings so much joy into our house! Let me know what coupons you are looking for and I will send some your way. I have been so busy lately I have not been doing much couponing. I work full-time and watch the baby on my days off. I work 3 12-hour shifts, (RN) so the other days I have the baby. His mom is in college and working 30 hours a week, trying to get her life in order. Instead of couponing so much lately I have become the "queen of clearance". I always check out the clearance section when I am in a store. I have scored a lot of clothes for the baby at Target and Walmart for as little as 75 cents to a dollar an item. I have clothes for him up through size 5T already. I found that the baby food and formula at Sam's club was a good deal when there were no sales or coupons to be had, and I needed to buy it.

Yes, daycare is expensive. I have 2 in daycare (DS arrives in a few weeks and I'll have 3 in daycare this fall). I breastfed DD1, but with DD2 I had to supplement with some formula. Thankfully, my daycare provides formula, so I didn't have too buy much.
