Default How Many Purchase Coupons on Line ?

Just wanted everyone's thoughts and feelings on purchasing coupons on line . I placed a small order recently for the first time and was just wondering how many out there do this vs not at all.

Tks

I buy them online, especially if I want a large quantity of one particular Q and it isn't worth buying ( at $1.50) that many extra papers. It's great if all of a sudden there is a great sale and you already used your q's and need more. I usually order on the first day of the sale in this case so I know they will be in before the sale ends. It is a big help sometimes. Just judge your savings, see if it is cheaper to buy the papers vs. buying the q's. My rule of thumb is that if I buy a Q then my cost can't go over 20% of what I will get in return! Just my way of working it. So if it costs me $2 for 10 q's, I have to save $10 or more on those same 10 q's. Don't forget to figure in if it can be doubled or tripled if you are lucky enough to have a store that does that. If the paper only has one or two q's that I want on a particular week, then I'll usually just buy the q's rather than get the papers.

I don't buy q's. To me it's not worth the trouble and worrying about whether or not I'll actually get the q's or if I just wasted money. I just keep track of the newspaper q list and try to plan accordingly. If they have a bunch of q's that are worth less than the paper I'll just walk over to my local gas station before work on Monday and ask them for the ones they are going to throw away anyway. I got 8 of them last time, of course I only do this when I really want the q's that are in there. I also just got on a coupon train so that should help me get more q's.

I do because at $2 each my small paper doesn't carry many of the Q's that are listed. If I bought the other paper in my area that does have a few more Q's it's $3.50 EACH. I can get a ton of coupons from a service for that much! All papers in my area are picked up each Monday morning and no where will give them away OR discount them.

I have and will again if it is something I need. Here is my example of how it was worth it to me.

I purchased a .75 coupon for Welch's refrigerated juice, I received 20 coupons and paided only $2 including shipping. I bought it knowing I could use it when Harris Teeter did triples and it would be really worth it to me.

I used them at Harris Teeter and kroger last week for Triples. I used 8 coupons. The juice ended up costing me .12 each, I saved $2.25 per carton. (8x 2.25 = $18 in saving - my $2 cost for the coupon, $16 in savings. Well worth it to me, plus I still have 12 coupons left and they don't expire until Jan 20 (i think). I would have bought more but I only had so much room in my refrigerator.

I will be able to use all the coupons I purchased before they expire. I just think you have to watch the expiration dates and make sure it is an item that you want a lot of.

Another good time to purchase is when Walgreens has an item Free or cheap with RR for a month long promotion. Then you can make money or get your item for Free and really stock up. I wish I had purchased the $4 coupons last month for their Gillette razor deal, this would have been great for my Christmas baskets.

Its pretty much how I obtain Q's lately, at $4 a paper its less expensive. I use a clipping service and have been very happy with them. I usually get multiples of the Q's I really wanted for around the cost of 1 paper. I haven't bought a paper in 2 months, I have been able to get inserts from friends and recycle bins to use for trading.

I use both clipping services and eBay depending on what I need. I have been very pleased with both.

Tks everyone for your response back. It helps to hear what others are doing out there. I also belong to a coupon train. My school of thought is to grab from various sources and you can build quite a stockpile !

I have purchased a few Q's from a clipping service when it was something I knew was coming on sale and I wanted quite a few.
Now unfortunately I wish I could remember the site I went to to order them. I had to re-install windows on my computer and it wiped out everything. I didn't back up my favorite websites. If anyone has the links to some good services I would sure like to hear from you. Send me a PM please.
Thanks

Smile online coupons

I like to get coupons on line of things that we use alot of and/or good coupons.....like the $3/1 Chef Michaels dog food coupons, with a growing puppy these coupons have been great. I have also gotten coupons off of ebay a couple of times, they were both just a pack of like 100 food coupons, one of them had a preview picture of what coupons were in the envelope and I saw quite a few that would match up to the mega deal that was going on at my grocery store so I got that one....and since it was ebay I had gone to ebay through a site where I got a percentage back of what I paid.

I've used the Coupon Master and the Coupon Clippers.
