Only one printer is needed (if you don't mind moving it from computer to computer). The coupons are tracked to the IP address of your computer, has nothing to do with your printer.

Does anybody know this as FACT? The IP address?? The reason I ask; I was "loaned" several IP's to do a special assignment and thought I'd try to print a few extra Sobe's Q's while I was at it, it did not work even after changing my IP. So are we sure it's IP and not MAC address? Curiosity just kills the kitty...

we have 3 computers. And yes I use them for printing coupons whenever there is a special coupon that I want multiples of.

Actually it's not really the IP address of the computer (but you are close) ... It's the MAC address. (an individual number that is assigned to your network interface card or if on dial up, your modem.)

I was afraid somebody was going to say that, DARN!! So I wonder why evrybody assumes IP, why wouldn't we say it's tied to the MAC vs. IP? Any thoughts?

nope it's not the IP or MAC address. Each computer is assigned a hardware based ID. My best guess is that it tracks your motherboard, cpu, memory and hard drive id info to establish your "machine ID". I've spent more than a couple hours trying to work-around this with no joy. Including swapping out hardware. Completely uninstalling the software (including registry and hidden files, spoofing mac address) results in an identical ID being set when the software is reinstalled.

You do not have to move the printer from box to box. Simply share the printer on the box it's connected to and install the shared printer on your other machines.

Default WOW! I'm glad someone else is confused!

I've been lusting for two computers. We have comcast and eldest son told me that would not work because the comcast "thingy" (sorry, computer illiterate...) that connects us to the internet would identify both puters as being the same one!

Does any one know if that is true?

I have 3 computers. 2 are laptops and 1 old dinorsaur that I would love to get rid of but I need it for extra coupons. Had to buy a new printer for the laptop b/c the old Lexmark is not compatable with Vista.

Iwillsurvive,
I am not sure if your son is right b/c I have to laptops that use the same wireless router and I am able to print from both.

We have 2 desktops, 1 laptop and a "dinosaur" PC that is so slow that I only use it to print coupons. I am able to print 2 coupons from each computer and it all is configured to print out at the same single printer. It has been awesome printing IP's like the Aveeno's, INternational Delight..etc..
