Default Coupons not accepted at store

I have had trouble with some on my coupons not being accepted at stores. I have tried using them at Walmart and this last time they took half of them and the other half they would not and they were all printed at the same time. I purchased the items and the coupons were valid. The customer service manager said if the coupons did not scan they could not accept them. Just wondering if others had this problem and how they handle it.
    Thanks.

If a coupon does not scan, not much you can do. A store is within their right(s) not to accept the coupon(s). Frustating as it may be it is understandable.

I would perhaps try to figrue out if maybe there was a printer issue that was causing them not to scan.

Is WAGs the only store you've had trouble at with coupons that do not scan?

I have noticed at Walmart that the cashier needs to put her hand over the second bar code on the bottom of the coupon. They only need to scan the first one and for whatever reason their computer won't scan them if they don't do that.

Ditto to this! I have never had an issues at any other store by Walmart with the double barcodes. This includes the store manu Q (I don't use IP)-they often have to fold the Q or cover up the 2nd barcode in order for them to scan.

ahh yes, I remember a cashier telling me that they never used to have problems until they added that second barcode to the coupon.
They should just be able to cover up the one (not sure what one.)
Try this and see if it works.

    Smile Thanks

Thanks guys. I noticed that the cashier was putting her finger over part of the bar code but didn't know why. I think she was frustrated and ready to go home or something. She also told me that she was able to get them accepted when she used the "gun" instead of the register but her gun wasn't working that day. I had about $20 worth of coupons and a buggy full of groceries. Then with my coupon failure and people backing up not only she but I was also getting aggrivated by the entire process.

I had one at Publix one time not work but not sure what was up with that. I've really only used them at WalMart because that is usually where I purchase my groceries normally. Thanks again.

When you are looking at the Q, they should cover up the ones on the right and scan the left. The one on the right looks different-kinda like it's two "levels" or two different codes.

The last time I had to get ink for my printer I had the cartrage refilled at Walgreens and for whatever reason the coupons have not been scanning ever since.

at my target the other day the computer actually gave the cashier an error message telling her to cover up that second barcode! i was very surprised. both she & i thought it was stupid of the manufacturers to put the 2nd barcode on there if it isn't any good for anything! (except aggravating cashiers)

Just out of curiosity, why would you ever buy groceries at walmart when you have a publix? The deals at Publix are amazing.

CM has made it possible for me to almost NEVER visit that place, and I count my blessings daily. Publix is also way more coupon friendly.
