    Question Question about a coupon

    Hi All!

I need your assistance please. Recently I was sent a coupon from P&G,
    for free pringles.
Today i tried to use it at Target and I was denied.
    Why you ask?
I had a box of the Pringles snack size containers.

The cashier was not sure how to process it so she went and asked someone else, and that someone else went to another someone else.
She came back and advised that the coupon is for the canisters only and not the package that I was trying to get.

I tried explaining to the cashier that the coupon does not state exactly which item I can or can not get.

    This is what is states--
    Free Product

    Pringles

    Free Pringles 1 Any

It does have a box for retailer to put retail price in it.

Nowhere does it state a maximum value.

Am I wrong or am I missing something here?

    Thank you,

    Renee

That happend to me at Wal-mart. They told me that they are cracking down on "free" coupons. And you can only get the item that is pictured on the coupon.

I would agree with you that it should be any Pringles. It's kind of like using a q for a trial size. As long as the q doesn't state size, it should be able to be used on a trial-size item.

I think that Target was wrong and just for the heck of it I would send Corp. an e-mail but I would also contact the sender of the Pringles Coupon. How insulting to be denied using a manf coupon.

    Thank you!

The coupon does not have a pic of any product.

And that is why I was going to use it on the package snack size.

P&G sent it to me after an issue I had with Pringles a couple of months ago.

I contacted Target costumer service line and they advised me to go back to the store and try to reuse the coupon and if I am denied to have the person call costumer service. I do not know what will happen from there, they did not tell me, but she did state that it is up to the store if they want to take the coupon...so guess which Target is off my shopping list!

Thank you for your view on this...I thought maybe I was missing a screw or something.
