Default Do these boards censor?

I just left the another service for censoring repeatedly on their message boards. Does that go on here also? I need real people, with real issues and real answers, not censorship to make themselves look good. So is this message board censored or not?
Thank you for your assistance,
Ally

Ally, welcome, you can talk about products here, no need to MUSHY stuff, but there are moderators to just keep things civil!
Is that what you are referring to?
It's a great place.

Ally, there are a few things that can/will be censored here. There is obviously the need for everyone to be respectful of each other and act like adults.

In addition, encouraging fraudulent or unethical behavior is not acceptable. We all know these things happen, but here we only try to encourage the proper use of coupons as they were meant to be used.

I'm not sure what type of board you are looking for, but we are real people....

I know the one thing that we all have to be careful of is to not post links to competitor's sites. CouponMom needs the advertising revenue to keep this site free. That's pretty much the only thing I've seen censored.

and spamming. We've had an issue once or twice with that. Unless someone gets rude or out of hand, not much gets censored. We keep ourselves in check most of the time.

Well, my first post did get rewritten, so whatever........however my point is...when we join a community for support, help, assistance, encouragement, questions, whatever you want to call it...we need to have the room to say what we are feeling or dealing with, even if it might be negative to some degree.
I'm NOT talking about being rude in the message boards...etc... I do understand rules and regulations and good manners. But I just canceled my membership from another couponing site due to the constant deleting of paying member,s posts and there wasn't anything bad said in the post! I've had my deleted and there was nothing wrong said in them. No cursing, no bad language, no personal attacks...yes, a question of frustration or feelings of discouragement. Isn't that normal, and part of natural life? I do like using coupons for the results it gives me. I greatly appreciate the experiences shared on the boards. Actually I've learned more from the couponmom message boards. But if someone has trouble or frustrations to share are they going to have their post deleted because it may show a different opinion or side?
I saw this happen to a nice gal on this other site as I was reading the post it right in front of my eyes was deleted and gone. I posted what happened when I saw what happened to this nice lady's post and guess what? my post was deleted by the paid moderators. And have been seeing it happening often, but at first I thought it was computer errors? Or members lost their posts...etc. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt....but then I noticed things going on that were deceitful to members. In one word, censorship and it is deceitful. Sad that a company feels so threatened by what someone may say on a message board. Wouldn't you think the quality of their service should speak for itself? Why would they be threatened? I don't get it.

Now I want to politely ask... is this going on here? If so, I guess I'll have to find another community website to be a part of. I seek after honesty and truth. Thank you for allowing me to vent... I like everyone here is trying to find the best deal and not giving up quality.
Thank you,
Ally

All that I can say Ally, is that I have not had an issue or a problem with it. I've not noticed anyone else having a problem either. I know that some people have had a post deleted for one reason or another, but I don't know why.

Do you mind me asking about the specific content of the post's deleted on the other site? I really don't understand why posts would be deleted unless there was bashing of some sort, I'm confused on that one. If you don't want to post it here, you could pm me. I'll be on and off this site for a couple of hours.

Default Support, help, encouragement?

Are you in need of these for personal reasons, emotional reasons. These forums are for coupon, money saving tips, living life more frugal. There is a forum for getting to know each other. If you're in need of some other assistance or want a group about life in general you may want to try another board. This is mainly for couponing discussions.

The moderators are good here - nine times out of ten they'll PM to tell you why they had to edit/delete your post. And if they forget, which can happen, all you have to do is ask them what happened. I've seen a couple of times where a post/thread was deleted and when the new thread was started asking "Why" the moderator posted to explain and apologized for not sending a PM.

One thing I have noticed, and it wasn't you, is a couple of new members have been IMO a bit on the harsh side with the moderators. So, if you do have an issue please be kind to them. They are just trying to do their job and sometimes they have to err on the side of caution.
