Default HA HA moment at Harris Teeter

My husband and I went to Harris Teeter Saturday to get some FREE Skippy Peanut Butter. They had it for
B1G1 free and it was $2.99 a jar and we had a .75/1 q that we could now use in both jars since HT changed their policy.

Well, we were checking out in the self checkout and I handed my q's to the cashier and she said that we could not use 2 q's om a B1G1 deal. I stood up for myself and said, yes you can the coupon policy says that you can. She called a manager and he said that yes the policy had changed, I was like, haha to myself, she got all huffy and said that the other manager had told her no. I then continued with our transaction and as we were leaving I said thank you, in a genuinely nice way, and just looked and me with a look of like "whatever".

I think I am going to call corporate. I have never done that before, but I am getting sick and tired of feeling like a thief when I use my coupons! You were wrong.....get over it!!!!!

It amazes me when cashiers act like they know everything then take it personally when they are corrected!!!

I get soooooooooo tired of that stuff!!! I have only been couponing for a few months and it is shocking to me how store personel treat couponers. Funny, I never recall any cashier being overtly rude to me till I started going to the register with coupons in my hand. Managers will apologize, corporate will apologize but the behaviors never seem to change. My new saying......."Bless your Heart, are you naturally born rude?" with my best Sunday go to meeting smile on my face. It makes cashiers sputter.......

Don't forget "Well aren't you just precious!!!" It helps to have a thick drawl to make this one work. And add "Honey"........as honey is universally known to mean
    B***h in polite company.

And where you live! dp38587 is right... us southerners have two completely different honeys. One is sweet and shows affection, you know, the husband one.... the other is dripping with condesention as well as sugar, and it fully utilizes our drawl. It also is preceded by "now" at least 50% of the time. As in, "Now honey, if you need some help understanding the policy I can get corporate on the phone for you. It is no trouble at all!" In that case, honey is used in place of "stupid" because that just isn't polite for southern ladies to say! LOL
