Now thoroughly confused....

After several of my coupons not doubling or tripling last night, I went back to HT tonight.

For $5.44 I picked up:

3 Quarts of Promised Land Milk
1 Reynolds Recyled Wrap
1 Hormel Compleats
2 French's Mustard
3 Huggies Wipes

The Promised Land and Huggies Wipes coupons specifically said "do not double or triple" but were accepted by the system anyway.

I was honest and asked the cashier about it and he said that they are NOT supposed to do that and it is a flaw in their system. He also told me that if the coupons went through, he wasn't about to override them.

So, I guess from now on, it will be YMMV and you'll have to watch like a hawk. I know I will be and anything that doesn't double or triple, I will have them remove them from my order.

I do not know how this works with other stores, but I've used coupons that say DND all the time without an issue at Kroger and Kmart.

Guess each store has its own policies.

the couple grocery stores i go to mainly just put them through and double them...once in a while like every couple months not often a cashier will put the coupon in a certain way to not double them but for the most part they automatically double if they have a 5 as the first number...if theres a 9 like alot of the blinkies i have noticed have a 9 as their first number those will not automatically double
