We have moved across country and it seems that the manufacturers grocery coupons have dried up and disappeared???? I have been 'out of touch' with couponing for months during this process and am feeling like a fish out of water. While I was somewhat of a newbie to couponing before the move, I did achieve a goal of at least buying groceries for half price. That was for standard?, organic, non-prepared foods, which isn't easy to do. We are now in southern california and it seems that it isn't even worth the effort. Most coupons are for cosmetics (gee, what a surprise)....or highly processed foods or chain restaurants, Or only apply with a purchase of 2 or 3 of same item. HELP, I need some direction. Is it me or has the media hype on extreme couponing scared off the manufacturers.

    Thanks in advance,
    Free Ranging

Welcome back =D There were coupons for boca burgers in this weeks inserts, which maybe are something you enjoy? I know that living the organic non processed lifestyle makes it harder to find coupons you like, but there are definately ways to do so, most of which involve facebook, the manufacturers website, or some combination of the above!

For dairy I suggest visiting the Real California Milk website for coupons off cheese and milk
Driscoll farms often puts out coupons on their produce at Driscoll's Berries - Strawberries | Raspberries | Blueberries | Blackberries just sign up to recieve emails!
While bagged prewashed salads may not be your thing, there are often coupons for them =D
If you like Oroweat bread check around for a bakery outlet. The bread is usually only a day old and about half the price you would pay at a grocery store.
There are some GREAT farmers markets in California too. I also used to love to go to Oxnard, CA for strawberries fresh from the field when I was a kid =D YUMMO!

Bottom line, if there is a vendor out there whose products you like try to get signed up on their email list, try emailing or writing them praising their product and ASK if they have any coupons or samples =P Definately get on facebook to check for upcoming coupon events (PITA to get but usually high value).

If there are any specific items that you need coupons for, be sure to add it to your signature line.
People on here love trading and sometimes will send out "potluck" envelopes to help others out.
