    Default Trader Joes??

Just found out we are getting a Trader Joe's here next summer. I know it has a lot of organic stuff and can be more expensive. Anyone have one near them? What are they like?

I have them in my area. The staff at these stores tend to be very tuned into "mother earth". They are very popular with those into alternate diets like vegetarians, or those who are concious of how the food is processed and where it comes from. Think "green" and you have nailed it on the head. I personally do not shop at them as they are too far away from where I live now, but when I lived close to one I liked to go there for the produce. When my mom visits we always shop there to stock up on her favorites as she is a Vegan.

Here is a link to their website. As you can see they have a funky old world vibe in their advertising =D Trader Joe's

They have some pretty good deals on certain items and the employees are very friendly.

I go there for one thing only - Better'n Peanut Butter. I can only find this at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, and Trader Joe's charges $2 less per jar. It's a fun store and the staff is always very helpful, but I don't quite get how they decide what to stock. I was in there once and needed some frozen brocolli...they didn't carry it!

We really like that store. I don't have one in my area but we stock up when we travel to Virginia. They have a lot of interesting yummy products you can't find at traditional stores. I'm vegan so I lean towards those products but they have good selection of non vegan items as well. It's not a store I expect to find a lot of money saving deals.

We have a Trader Joe's nearby. I don't shop there too often, partly because we just buy specialty items there and partly because the parking lot (which Trader Joe's shares with several other stores) is always so congested. But we love their products. Their marinated mushrooms are absolutely delicious, and so are there marinated artichoke hearts. They have lots of natural-type products, too.

Well...from what I am hearing, I will have to give it a go for the produce. And the Peanut Butter. We have one natural food store here, and their selection of produce is very limited.

I love my Trader Joes! The employees are far more pleasant than the average grocery stores plus they are super helpful. There are a few products (frozen mango chunks and frozen cherry berry mix) that I am not able to find anywhere else. Eco-friendly to boot! Long live Mother Earth!

And they have food samples that they give out. Every day it's different. I have tried baked goods, pumpkin ravioli, salads, etc.
