I've been looking all over for after holiday deals on whole turkeys and hams. I found out from Sams, Fareway, Aldi's, and New Pioneer Co-op (health store) that their turkey sales will not be advertised nor do they know when it will happen. I thought we could help each other out to get the good deals.
Right now Fareway in Iowa City has their turkeys for .89 cents/pound. Aldi's has a ton of Butterball turkeys, but they are still the normal .99 cents/pound. The very nice manager told me that corporate decides when to put them on sale. New Pioneer Coop just laughed at me when I asked if they will go on sale. I haven't tried hyvee, walmart, or supertarget (cr) yet. Sams in CR still have turkeys at the normal price. Anyone else have anything to share/advice to give?
