    Cool Soooo disappointed ~ HELP!

I live in Fredericksburg Va. I used the coupon database for Giant (Northern Va).
I setup my grocery list and was getting ready to save 50%. I then went to my R1 and R2 for 1-30 and couldn't locate most of the coupon suggestions listed. So I'm guessing Fredericksburg is not considered Northern Va Giant??? Im looking for stores that support
Fredericksburg.........specifically Giant and would love to have a list for Bloom.
    Please help!

My guess is that you might do better to buy a larger circulated newspaper that may contain more of the coupons you are looking for.

I live in Frederick MD. I find that the most accurate ad for me is the MD-giant one. As for the coupon accuracy, definitely the Washington DC one as I get mine from the Washington Post Sunday. For the coupon database, you have to look to see where the coupon come from. Try to read the tiny print on the very edge of your coupon inserts. Mine says "advertising supplement to the washington post" and the ones I get from my local gazette says something about the "supplement to suburban Montgomery (county)...". Maybe there will be a clue about which area to choose. My surburban gazette coupons are close to the washington post, but I will always have coupons that are not in the database because of this and I choose to clip all of my coupons so that I don't miss any "extra" deals. My local Frederick News Post coupons seem to match the Washington Post exactly except that at times there will be entire inserts that are not included. The local paper coupon tiny print says "frederick news post" on the side. Good luck! I hear your frustration. Stick with it!

I'm in St-Mary's County.. just south of you. I get the Washington Post, and I've found that my coupons match up quite well. I use the data base sometime, but usually, I've cut out pretty much all the coupons for things that I might use. I also shop at Giant, as they double up to .99, and seem to have the best selection/prices/produce around me. I don't bother with the local paper for coupons, as they just don't get them all. Frustrating in some ways, but not hard to manage. I got my annual subscription to the Post at the grocery store, ended up paying 1.25 a week for home delivery, and got $50 in gift cards to the store!

Go on a weekend, and see what their current subscription deal is.

    Good luck!

you may also want to make sure you're using the right 'giant' - we have a giant food store too in Pennsylvania - and when I went online to sign in for online deals it wouldn't let me.

Just found out there are TWO Giant Food groceries - if your store card is 12 digits then you're in 'giantfood.com' - if yours is 11 digits then you're in 'giantfoodstores.com' - and they don't know who giant eagle is! - if the prices weren't so good, I'd be really tempted to go to another grocery store!

I, too, live in Fredericksburg. You need to buy BOTH the Fredericksburg paper AND the Richmond Times-Dispatch every week. The RTD has MANY more coupons and typically has lower value off one, rather than a higher value off 2 (which is good, because it will double). The FLS sometimes has a few coupons that the RTD does not. I don't bother with the Washington Post. It has few coupons (like the FLS), and they typically are higher value off 2 items (like $1 off when you buy 2).
