Default Deals I got this week

Hi, I'm pretty new to this super coupon using thing, but since 1) I'm out of work, 2) I'm always interested in saving money, and 3) I need something to occupy my brain, I decided to try it.

On Wednesday, Giant sent out a circular with 4 "double your $1 coupons" coupons!

I thought I would post some of the better deals I got at Giant (Northern Virginia) this week:

    Perdue cutlets: 1 @ $3.99 - $1 bonus card savings - $2 (doubled $1/1 coupon) = $0.99 (that's 75% savings!!)

NatureSource vitamins were on sale for B1G1, so I got 2 bottles of Luteine for $13.99 (50% savings)

    Silk Soy Milk: 1 @ $3.49 - $1.50 (doubled $0.75 coupon) = $1.99 (43% savings)

Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce: 1 @ $2.39 - $0.72 bonus card savings = $1.67 (30% savings, unfortunately I did not get the coupon in my insert)

I bought 5 Renuzit air fresheners @ 4 for $5 and got a catalina for $1.50 off my next shopping order.

I bought 4 Honest Tea (plastic bottles) @ 3 for $5 and got a catalina for $3 off my next shopping order (unfortunately the glass bottles don't count for this).

I also used a catalina for $1.50 off my next shopping order (from a previous Honest Tea purchase on this trip).

All in all I think I did pretty well... my total savings was about 30% on this receipt, but next time I'm going to try to do better!

Good Job..when you are looking to save money...find out the catalina deals, and pay for those items first, then go back and get the non catalina items, and use the catalina's as coupons, and it helps you savings % go up..but we are constantly learning..great first trip!

Keep up the good work! You'll have good weeks and not so good weeks...the main thing is you are saving money, no matter what the amount!
