I was declined use of a printed coupon at Giant today.
Check said it was new policy.
Did not have time to complain to the manager, but I will.
Anyone else experience this?

Which Giant did you go to? Their website still says they accept internet coupons. Maybe the cashier was confused/misinformed.
Scroll down to the coupon section. It may be helpful to print this and take it with you and/or speak to the manager next trip when you have time.

I almost had a similar problem on Saturday 3/20/10. I've used internet coupons at my Giant Food before and didn't count on a problem. I was told they didn't take them and when I did say something the checker checked it out and came back and said she would use them. She said one of the problems is there are some that are printing our free items as a internet coupon and the company the coupon is for is not honoring them. The checker said we couldn't use any of them.
I hope my next trip I won't run into this. Won't know until I go. However, if I do, what do we do if they won't except them? What's the point in searching them out, printing the, sorting them, and then find out we can't use them.
I haven't had a problem. I know they are no longer accepting competitor's coupons.
A few weeks ago the ad had a banner on it that said the Giants in our area (Shippensburg, PA) would no longer accept any IP q's that had the word free in it. I took my free Excedrin q in that I got in the mail that was printed on special paper with some type of logo all over the back and took the letter I cut it from with my address on it in case I had any trouble, the cashier gave it to customer service who then tracked down a manager and they studied it a bit before approving it. The manager pointed out something in the print and told her I could not have printed it myself. I did show him the letter it came on but I think he had already decided in my favor.
