Many of you have asked what determines whether or not another site is a competing site. Although the objective of this forum is to help share savings tips with other members, it becomes detrimental to this site's operation (fully funded by its advertising so it can be free to members) if member posts direct people to other sites that have the same primary advertisers as this site.
This forum is a perk of the site, it is not a money-making venture. We want to be able to have the best savings information available to uncover the best deals at grocery stores and drugstores, and we believe you all have excellent information and are willing to be generous to share your tips with others--we appreciate that!
In short, a competing site is one that has similar advertising as CouponMom.com, which includes printable grocery coupons, free samples, and online shopping codes. We do allow mentions of sites like
Upromise.com because they are a loyal advertiser and we believe it is an excellent way to save money while you are shopping. We also recommend
Shopathome.com for cash back rebates and the
online coupon section of Couponmom.com, of course. In fact, PC Magazine just listed CouponMom.com in their list of "Top 10 Online Coupon Sites"--why go anywhere else? We have the coupon codes, free shipping offers, and links to other sites with cash back if you want that!
If you aren't sure, simply look at the advertising and links on the site you'd like to recommend and compare it to the offers on our
homepage, our
Printable Grocery Coupons page and our
Free Samples page. That should answer any questions you have. Thank you!
