Default 93% lean ground beef on sale

Our Food Lion has 93% lean ground beef on sale for $1.99/pound. We bought 7 pounds of it this weekend. We ate hamburgers yesterday. I made 3 meatloaves (1 to eat this week, 2 to freeze), and I browned the rest and froze it in 4 containers to use later in chili, sloppy joes, etc. It only took about an hour and will save time and money later.

Oh, thank you for this! I'll see if my Food Lion does too. Was it an advertised sale, do you know?

isnt this also a guiding star item? If so you could use that q on the hamburger for an even better deal.

I'm in Savannah too...just got home after purchasing a 4.24 lb. pkg. I packaged up (2) 1 lb. pkgs. and am browning the rest to freeze for spaghetti sauce, etc. Really nice quality...little to no fat.

Thanks for the tip Suzanne!
