I am surprised she did not mention using coupons along with the rewards savings.
You can get great deals on water ($2.44 for a 28-count bonus pack a few weeks ago) as well as cereals ($2.00 a box for Kelloggs a few weeks ago....I bought 5 of them and used the $5.00 coupon off 5 boxes as well so they cost $1.00 a box and I used them for the Kelloggs gas card rebate so they were free).
Local pharmacies are sometimes the only source of goods in the community. These shops could be easy, but they are expensive. Actually, purchasing at these shops could be twice as expensive. Drugstore shopping could be costing your budget. Drugstores and pharmacies are able to charge a premium for the products on their shelves for one simple reason: convenience. The convenience of a drugstore is similar to the convenience of a gas station. Smaller stores mean it is quick and easy to walk in, grab a few items, and get out quickly.
