    Default New Prescription

My hubby has a new prescription. Where's the best place to take it for a good deal?

I'm a pharmacy tech at a small chain of grocery stores. We hate losing our customers to those coupons! But, I've been tempted to transfer some from the pharmacy I worked at before (walmart) to CVS or Wags just to get the GC! But neither place has the $4 list. Anyway, it depends on what it is for and if you have good insurance. Walmart doesn't offer gift cards for transfers (around here anyway), like CVS and Wags does. But they do have lots of $4 drugs. Like I said, it depends on insurance and what the drug is. HTH!

You might try Rite Aid. They have a $30 GC through 11/30. Their deal may only be on transferred Rx's though. I'm not sure. You'll need to ask to get the details.

If it is a generic then some place offering generics $10 for a 90 day supply.
I believe Kroger, Walmart, Kmart, Walgreens, & Target.

Next refill transfer it. The Rite-Aid offer handed out directly at the pharmacy counter is good for transfers up until 1/31/09. Walgreens published some in mid-October so look for these again in early January.

Walgreens has a $25 coupon out. I used this WAGS coupon at CVS because my store accepts RX coupons from other stores. I wanted the CVS gift card because I shop there more. So, ask your pharmacist.

I took the $30 Rite Aid coupon to Kroger, and they matched it. Thanks, y'all!
