When do you all shop for the drugstore deals?

I am getting frustrated, because it doesn't seem to matter if I go on sunday or wednesday, Walgreens doesn't seem to have the items you would get for free with RR. And because it involves RR they wont give me a raincheck! It is a complete waste of my time! Any suggestions on how I can better plan my shopping to get these deals?

Maybe you could ask the manager to special order items for you. Or be there when the doors open on Sunday morning.

When I first started I had the same problem w/ WAG but now I have discovered a few tricks:

Go on the day when they get their shipment in. I'm not sure if all WAGs get their shipments in on the same day...mine is on a Tues. This way even if they haven't shelved it yet, they can go to their stockroom and get it for you.

They usually put in their request for supplies at least twice a week. Find out when that is and ask them to order you what you need.

Go to a different WAG. My WAG always run out of what I’m looking for but a few blocks down the road, they're always stocked. Keep an eye on the price though. It varies among the stores.

I try to make it on Sunday mornings but that is not always possible.
I love that the sales for Rite Aid in Los Angeles start on Friday mornings so everything I need is usually in stock then.
My CVS does a great job of ordering (one scent or flavor may run out, but they normally have others). If they are out of an item, there are 3 other CVS stores within a few miles from me.
I did notice at the 2 Walgreens I go to.....all week long they are out of the "free after RR items". I have gone on Saturday nights and they suddenly have plenty on the shelves.
The best thing to do is find out when your store gets their deliveries and go the next morning.

I've had the most success going first thing Sunday mornings. Seems like if I later on Sunday (especially CVS) the shelves are already cleared.
