Default Toiletries and & paper products

Do you think that drugstores are better shop at for things like toothpaste, TP, sanitary pads and dish soap? Or do you think you can score a better deal at the supermarket? Also, do drugstores run the same 12 week sale cycles like supermarkets? Thanks!

Personally I have found that I get better deals at the drugstores for the toiletries. Meaning I have been getting them for cents or free.

Agree. Generally I get better deals at CVS on shampoo, toothpaste, mouthwash, dish soap and a few other things. But my grocery store has also had some awesome deals on toiletries and household supplies. It depends on the week, I guess.

ITA with the PPs... I used to wait for the sales at some of my local supermarkets for toilet paper, et al but now, I'm finding that I get tons more toiletries, household items at Walgreens. I'm finding that I now buy my milk there... & when eggs were are sale - it became my "filler"... lol - if they sold meat, veggies there - I'd be buying that as well. I now view Walgreens as a place where I'm pretty much only paying sales tax....and if I can't use a Q for an item - that's okay, it's my filler & I'll use RRs to pay for them. My dad's been wanting a small heater - guess where we're getting it? yeap, Walgreens, and I have to thank the Bayer Corporation for it!!! Another great example... this week a lot of us are getting Purex Liquid Detergent at a drugstore - it's free (ok, you might pay sales tax... not bad... I'm paying .57/2 ).

how you get them for cents or free? I usually one see 25 cents off angel soft or 50 cents, maybe 1.00 on cottonel. the cheapest ive gotten angel soft was 4.00 for 24 rolls and I rarely ever see that

    29 cent deals:

    CVS
Use the $1.00 off any CVS paper towels from the CSO and buy the single roll for $1.29 (regular price). Use the coupon and they are 29 cents for the roll.

    Rite Aid
Use the 50 cent coupon from the P&G ad for the Dawn Hand Renewal dish detergent which are on sale this week for 79 cents. 29 cents for the bottle.

If you can find the Marcal Small Steps singles in your area, they are free or almost free with the mfg. coupon. I have only found the box of tissues at a small independent store. The cashier scanned the coupon and it took the $1.39 off each box (I had 3 coupons). These are not soft tissues but are OK for everyday use.

At Kroger they have Brawny 6-big rolls as part of their mega deal with a .50/1 cpn that doubles, it comes out to 4.49...is this a good deal? or just mediocre? I have 3 cpns so that puts a lot toward my GP rebate...
