Default boycotting walgreens

so I ventured out to a few different stores today, and on my list was Walgreens. I saw in their ad a few things that were free after register rewards -- things I also had coupons for.

When I Went in to find these items, my local WAGS had these terrible, mis-spelled signs they must've made on their computer all over the place. They stated if you purchase items that are "free" after register rewards, you could not use any MFG Q's.

I'm so over walgreens. That's ridiculous. I still have to shell out cash to purchase these items, how can you not take MFG Q's?

Yet another reason I stay loyal to CVS. (Rite Aid's given me grief in the past about Q's, too, especially the IPs. but CVS never does!)

Just curious... Anyone else having these issues?

The store is incorrect and is going against corporate policy. I would suggest calling or e-mailing corporate, assuming you intend on going back or if you just want to notify them of the situation.

I personally have not had an issue using MQs when doing a RR deal.

I understand your frustration. CVS is like heaven to me, i NEVER have a problem there, and the ECB system works so wonderfully -- coupons are a non-issue for us or the cashiers.

Wags should give up on this RR system, its such a mess. Back to old-fashioned rebates i say! Less people will take advantage of rebates anyway. They are attracting people with the instant Register Reward, and then turning them off with all these strange rules and regulations.

Another pet peeve, the Wags employees are (annoyingly in my opinion!) overly "nice". . .Everytime I run into one they are asking me if I need anything. I usually walk out having been asked that by at least 3 people.
I'd rather be greeted when I enter and just be left alone to shop.

I rarely shop at Wags, but today I bought the Chapstick, Fusion, Vaseline. Used MQ on razor and Vaseline and 3 x $2 RR from Carefree. Got 2 clearance sugar wafers for fillers, 5 items, 5 coupons. I received all my RRs.

I just moved from Phoenix to Virginia. There were 2 WAGS by my house that I went to. I never had any major issues there. I went to 1 here over the weekend for some items. While I was there one of the employees was pulling the sales tickets off the items. That really bothered me because it was early afternoon & the sale was on until the end of the day. By pulling the sales tags it made it harder to find the items I was looking for.
Then items were not stocked & employees were blocking areas for long periods of time making it impossible to get what I was looking for. I ended up leaving without buying a thing. It's the 1st one I've gone to here & I'm debating on trying it again. I think it isn't worth the hassle & there are better options out there!

thank you everyone for your feedback about this. It must just be my local store being !@*#$ about it.

I think I'm definitely going to contact corporate and let them know, even if they don't do anything.. at least I've done my part. Because its simply not fair.

I went to Wags today - had the same problem. Only 1 coupon per item so I couldn't use any RR's. I'm about done with them too. CVS is so easy and laid back. When the toothbrush that I bought didn't give me an RR I told her I didn't want it and to void it. She had scanned a coupon in and didn't want to give me my coupon back. She said that since it was scanned I couldn't use it again - ?????? I said, "I didn't buy the item so that means I didn't use the coupon, could you give it back to me please?" She had to ask the CSM and she agreed with me. With much reluctance she gave me my coupon back...... I don't think the employees know what's going on either......

My store has recently implemented a new policy that only 2 RR items can be purchased in each transaction, but I can do as many transactions as I want.

That makes no sense whatsoever.
